  1. Ok kewl so dont touch the boost. With the sti shocks are you just talking about the inserts which fit into the legacy struts or the whole sti strut?
  2. Hey im looking at buying a 1994 RS Legacy done around 170000km. It has a full exhaust from turbo everything else is standard. What i was wanting to know is what can these handle in terms of boost, when do things start to break and become more unreliable. Looking at getting a boost controller but if you cant run much more boost than standard with out things breaking i dont think i will bother. Also what suspension have you guys found that lowers the car nice and handles well, im not really wanting to go to adjusties yet as dont have to much to spend maybe some tein lowering springs if they make them for the legacy? Is the factory intercooler up to the job or is it worth while upgrading to maybe an STI one from a later model WRX? Basically what im wanting from the car is a reliable daily that i can take to the track or drags once in a while and not have to much hassle
  3. Cheers for the help, havnt bought a car yet just seeing what my options are. Theres a couple of sti ra on trade me atm for quite cheap that ive been looking at. What sorta things should i be looking out for in the earlier model wrxs?

  5. Thanks for the replys, if i was going to do the conversion id probably use an aftermarket ecu such as a link so i shouldnt need the loom would i? Also swapping the v4 and 5 bonnets and head lights over to a v2 is this also possible with minimal effort modifications?
  6. Hey just wondering what the go is with putting a v4 or 5 motor and box out of say a type r or sti ra into a non sti v2 WRX, are there any major difference i.e mounts or anything? Other than ecu as would be using after market. Thanks
