Toyota America do a Prius plus kit consisting off springs, sway bars and ground effects kit. Aftermarket companies do a 4kw plugin upgrade kit which extends the ev speed and allows full electric only.
To make it go fast is not wants on Prius owners minds. If it was then go and by a lambo or ferrari. What owners are after is a reasonable good looking vehicle which handles well and very cheap to run.
If i had the money then i would buy a tesla model x SUV 0-100 in under 5 seconds
or a tesla roadster 0-100 in 3.7 seconds

Yes. You are right things change. Especially when it comes to family and responsibilities. I also have owned a number of different model Subaru\'s over the last 30 years and have owned over 20+ different cars.
But in the end they only serve a purpose and always cost money and depreciated. As my wife always tells me, cars are never an investment no matter how you package it.

After owning a 22b i realised after the hype it was only a glorified type r with a wide body kit that drank like a v8.
I only got 250ks from a tank. And where ever i drove i was paranoid.
I have 3 friends on facebook that also had 22Bs and 2 off them sold theres shortly after i sold mine.
Like the saying goes. BEEN THERE DONE THAT.

Im 47 too make and to make this topic worst i have two prius.
A his and a hers. I struggled with the idea that it was not cool.
And after selling the 22B then going to a Lexus 400h & now to itech prius, my head was telling me this is practical.
My monthly expenses running both cars has dropped dramatically.
I also looked at the Hybrid Estima but thought this was an even worst look. But honestly once you\'ve gone hybrid its hard gong back to diesel or petrol, the fuel consumption is around 4.4-5Ltr and the performance is okay 0-100ks in 10 seconds. And since my cars are primarily for town commuting these are ideal.
PS I didnt mean to upset Clusub members i was only wanting to show off the volk ce28n mags off.

As before the wife made me sell it. This is what happens when you have a car in the garage which never gets used. To her it was a waste of money doing nothing.

Lexus ct200h and the prius itech have the same running gear. The itech has the addition of solar roof and sunroof. I also have self parking and radar cruise control, leather, perimeter key entry etc...
Technology wise its a better car to drive in and out of town. Not the same performance, but your not buying that. The problem is im getting old. Im not a young fella like must of you guys on this forum.

I have decided to go Eco friendly and this is my every day drive car with volk ce28n in black shadow chrome.
Modifying Prius is a big thing in the US. The guys over there are using Subaru wheels on there Prius. Ideal offsets.

i have one on my 22B. Sound is dependant on associated items like extractors, middle muffler, dump pipe and size off pipe.
My car sounds like a race car it doesnt have the subaru rumble at all.

You have to calibrate it first before using it. I think it works better on order cars as it uses tilt movement of iPhone to determine acceleration. Have yet to try it on the 22b

tried it today on my uncles maxima 0-60 in 9.75sec seems accurate.
NB: Iphone must be secured. ideally in a phone holder to get accurate results.
NOT BY HOLDING THE IPHONE.
