It will definitely fit even with the seats up. Easiest way to do it would be taking both wheels off.
I used to get two downhill mtb's in the back of my legacy without taking wheels off and still having one back seat. I don't bother anymore now that I have a bike rack though haha
Doesn't a Legacy have a much wider boot than an Impreza?

Mall carparks give me the skitters too. I try and park between 2 really flash cars or well away from everyone. Also, coz i got kids i get to park in the "parents with prams" parks and they are so wide that even if someone opens their door fully it still won't touch the next car ;D But some of these woman in their soccer-mom people movers shouldn't be driving too :

Gee thanks for the advice

ooh didnt read properly, dnt know bout seats up,you could get 1 the kids to ride it back
Hahaha i don't think so, they are only little kids, 2 and 3 years old and their car seats have stupid anchor ropes running to the rear of the boot too so that's gonna get in the way

Yeah both wheels come off easy apparently but it's a 45 min drive to pick the bike up so i'd be peeved if we got there and found we couldn't fit it in
-
Just wondering if anyone has done it before? I can't put the seats down coz the kids will be with me. The bike has quick release wheels.

Stoked to hear it has been written off for you I'm gonna go take all my stupid alarm stickers off my car now :

were any of the windows smashed??
/quote]
Na no windows were broken, but the monsoon shield above the back drivers side door was broken off for some reason.
They smash the monsoon off so they can pull the window out, or stick something down the top. So they knew at least a little bit what they were doing.
Ultrasonics will often trigger when people try this... but often they're at the front on the dash or top of the pillar which is why the mongrels go for the back windows. In a poobaru, consider installing them at the top of the b-pillars...
Did your car have stickers on it saying what the alarm brand was?
If you want some alarm 'forensics' PM me and I'll see if I can tell you how they did it.
sorry this is a bit of a threadjack but we got an avs alarm installed recently and there are stickers on the back windows saying AVS and also calvotech (who did the install) is this bad? should i take them off?

Geezes that SUX ass I just got that same alarm put in my car. What is the point of paying $600 for "the best" alarm if the whole thing can be unwired and taken out without a sound?
-
well what did he put an additive in then?
-
Yep i have been screwed over by a mechanic before. Sux to be a girl sometimes. I think i will re-train and open a girls-only garage We can fix cars in our bikinis and charge shit loads hahahahahaha
Nah joking (about the bikinis).
Damn mechanic put the additive in but said if it plays up again to take it back. The thing is it was under warantee from the car yard (30 days) so the car yard probably told the dude to do a cheap fix. Pisses me off and i hope i can wreck it again so they have to fix it properly before it's out of warantee

ooh pretty intake!

ill shoot the k**t that takes my car,i know alot of the car thieves around south auckland,if someones car gets stolen ill ask them and if it wasnt them ill get them to sniff around

haha any cheap parts??!! 8)
Nothing can stop a tow truck from stealing a car and your neighbours and witnesses will probably think its just another car getting towed. NEVER park at ST Lukes (auckland) for too long. ALOT of cars get broken into/stolen there for some reason.
Never had an issue with the Impreza at St Lukes, but Silvia park puts the sh*ts up me :-\
Yep same here. Some dumb ass drove into my caldina at sylvia park, left a big black paint scratch on the bumper. The stupid thing was they were still parked next to me when i came back to my car quite obviously not the kinda people who would have insurance so i had to let it slide.

I've booked it in with the mechanic. He said it's a common fault with the subarus and may just need some additive???? sounds like a bandaid fix to me :
-
Katie, when you say 'defiled your car', scraping your bumper wasn't the first thought that sprang to mind.
Ok yeah that probably wasn't the best choice of words. I shouldda used desecrate instead.
Today i have done nothing to my car ;D yay yay. Yesterday i drove it without dinging it so it's all good.
-
Today i defiled my car. I scraped the front end on the FU*KING ramp in the driveway :'( :'( :'( >

Well i just went out to see if it was the tyres rubbing and i couldn't get it to shudder! I drove around and tried full lock in both directions and it was absolutely fine. Guess it's not the tyres. Would this solenoid thing be intermittant or would it fail every time?
We only bought the car last weekend so i've contacted the car yard we got it from and they said to book it in with a mechanic in glenfield they deal with "Active automotive". So yeah, i will have to do that i rekon.

Will a mountain bike fit in a wrx wagon boot?
in General Vehicle Discussion
Posted
I don't have a tow bar but yeah might look at getting a bike rack eventually coz it's a pain to take both the wheels off. It did fit in the boot this arvo with the wheels off tho so all good ;D
