  1. hi guys,

    I'm doing the split fuel rail mod and wondering if i can remove the steel vacuum lines underneath? (the one that connect the throttle body and carbon canister) i have already removed the canister and just blocked off the lines but want to know if this is common/acceptable....?

    thoughts?

  2. i ran the codes thru google and got the following....Code 35:

    Turbo Charger Bypass Valve Control Circuit High

    and then (different website)

    This Relates to Circuit High for Super/Turbo Charger Bypass Valve Control..

    Only things i could think of was vacuum lines to boost controller wrong or blocked bypass valve or jammed??...could well be wrong tho!

Im also having issues with my desktop computer....:-( anyway back to issues...just some background info, I have changed manual gearboxes and done auto to manual conversions, but today i finished my first auto trans replacement and rear diff replacement, almost finished it today but when i went to turn motor over to do up torque converter to flexi plate (may not be real name) it wont turn, it seems to be locked up like its jamming on something, i figured i will have to take the gearbox half out and see if it will become free again so i can do up these bolts, but don't want too... has anyone had anything similar happen and is there a cheat that might loosen the motor/torque converter. the car is 90's legacy, any help wold be appreicated.

  4. popo gota dark green or blue new legacy wag down here (dunedin)...got rolled in my mates paddock hack (early 80's 2 door stalet, can painted 3 or 4 colors...dints everywhere no plates) a month or so ago...no tickets, young copper who couldnt stop laughing about the fact that i was driving it. GC copper for a change!

  5. righto...looks like i will be needing some more mods....best bet for turbo? in other threads Tdo5 are recommended as best bang for buck but will it get me over the 200kw mark? Prefer not to have to upgrade turbo to many times as would rather twisted turbo a good setup right from the start? I don't mind spending the moneys if i have too! Advice please

    Just wondering if there is a thread about everyones dyno readings and what the had to do to get there.

    I have a wrx and have just got a link g4....getting installed late next month and wondering if i need put larger injectors/fuel pump and reg to hit the 200kwatw mark? i have since done dumppipe and rest of exahaust but have not noticed and real increase in power.

    previosly i ran 170kw atw with fmic, pod, external wastegate set to 11 psi, everthing else factory inc exhaust/turbo Td04/inj etc,

    what is the tried and tested method of extracting power from the ej20's?

    apologies if this thread exists elsewhere.
