  1. Go 6 brad runs 6s in his car and is running 20psi. We don't really want to move to 7s for daily driving (ie put the 7 plugs in on dyno or track) as all of idling we do in this wonderful Auckland traffic Will carbon them up pretty fast (some one correct me if im wrong please)

Clearly your bf is in the wrong.

He needs to simmer down and accept that his car doesn't run sooper dooper efficient and he gets the same economy as every other wrx.

Talking smack about how he gets economy of 500 kms plus from 40l: tui.

He does tho.. I've even seen it for myself.. We drive nearly 100km a day to and from work and It does get 500km to a tank - we fill it up once a week right to the very brim and then reset the trip.

To be honest you dont know shit about our car and every car is different so just keep you stupid opinions to yourself mate

Thanks to the wonderful parts manager at my work he let me use their account with winger subaru up here in Auckland, I got brand spanking new Cambelt Kit, Waterpump, etc and a new metal head gasket so next weekend our mission is to pull the engine out and do the head gaskets :)

    Oh Joy :(

    lucky you!

owell im sure brad will be having fun!

    I Will be helping lol

  5. Everything seems to be ok.. It still drives and stuff..

When it over heated we straight away filled it back up with hot water to prevent the block from cracking, and then cooled the engine right down by it self. Its not blowing water out or oil in water/water in oil its just aerated bubbles in the header tank which is apparently a sign of a blown head gasket.

  7. Yea he said ECU fuse as when the fuse was blown no check engine light was coming up and the ecu wasn't on then once he replaced the fuse the check engine light came on and so did the ecu.

It came up with various fault codes and then the car started to run really really rough and then brad said the fuel pump cut out and you heard a pop of the fuse blowing again..

I hope it will be an easy fix becca.. Fingers crossed -
