I normally jack the car up and have it sitting on stands so that the front of the car is sitting higher then i let the car idle for a while, giving some revs every now and then and watching the water level. Also i have a particular way of filling it up which also help remove the bubbles

You got it all sorted bro? i have some sitting in the garage (set of 17") if you still need.

Hi Guys
Does anyone have a full diagram showing the complete wiring for a Subaru? I'm after one that will show everything if possible, otherwise i am mainly looking for the injector and ignition circuit.
Thanks in advance for any help
Cheers

Goodbye factory wiring...
Hello many hours of struggle and frustration

I've put some plans in place so that i can get some major projects done over the summer... Should be a nice long summer in the sun hopefully for me.
exhaust modification
oil cooler install
ECU to be rewired
STI intake manifold to be modified and installed
plenty of work to do, hopefully enough weekends of sun to complete

When i had my first Subaru i got it done out East Coast Towbars, They did a really good job and it managed to survive the punishment that i gave it... at one stage we have modified a bike rack and had 7 big DH bikes hanging off it.. Flexed like a mofo but didn't snap
-
Any smoke out the exhaust?... It could be a number of things that is going wrong with it.
Where are you located in Wellington?

I can only speak for myself, but I'm saving most of my disposable income for the Xmas & New Years holidays. Other people will probably be keen though.. I'm only one person!
BINGO for me as well..
I've pretty much all spent all my disposable income already... + car doesn't have any gas :

Maybe if they stop being d*ckheads with their pricing people will actually use them
Yeah i get my genuine parts from out of town now. Even with postage they are heaps cheaper.
Such a shame but i don't feel sorry for them. last time i went and got intake and exhaust gaskets for the heads. $132.87 (RIPPED) - Last time i used them

looks like a slimmer one but then usd conversion + shiping
keep us posted on what you find because ill be doing this also when i get a chance
Yeah will do. I'll be doing some more research first. I know that with my kit i have got custom made lines which are much shorter than your normal kits out there
Another option might be an inline one..

i found this one . im sure someone will say something about trademe crap
i haven't asked any club sponsors yet so not sure what others do.
but its a thermostat and will do the job. you'll want to keep your stand oil cooler also but apparently your oil filter will sit quite low so you may want a bash plate depending what your doing with the car.
I'll do some more research on the matter i think. no 100% sure i want something that big hanging down under the car...

Hey Guys
Going to look at installing my oil cooler in the car sometime this week / weekend. Anyone got any DON'T for installing, what has worked well and what hasn't.
Also is someone able to draw or show the correct plumbing as i know that if incorrectly plumbed it will not work due to the one way valve in oil filter??
Cheers

Wired up the ICV to the link and about to go and configure it so i will no longer have to worry about the cold starting idle issues
