  1. look to Chch or futher north tuning, and get a range of opinions, thay all have ther own ideas, a good idea is find a car and owner that has done what you want and just copy.

  3. Whats happening with the new strip? I gave the commitee heaps of advice and design ideas last year but heard nothing back. I even gave them an indication of costs from Fulton Hogan. My work was even going to offer free management time to get it off the ground.

    last I heard ther was a bit of a split/bun fight. I know the SSCC offerd them a alternative track and that is to build a start area at the other end up in the loop corner but that would probly? have to? coincide with SSCC plans for outside pits development. I think the drag club is in a bit of a rebuilding stage atm < (all this is my view so may or may not be correct)

  5. Teretonga Track day Saturday 30 October

    Run by the SSCC http://www.teretonga.org.nz/

    ... Drivers:

    *$ per enterant

    *Enter on the day

    *Sign in from around 11:00am - 11:30

    *Drivers brefing 12:00 approx

    *On track 12 noon - 4:30-5pm

    Requirements are:

    - Current WOF and Registration.

    - NZ Drivers Licence.

    - A mechanical and safety check must be passed. Noise limit 95dba.

    - An approved crash helmet and clean, protective one piece fire-retardant or pure cotton fabric overalls must be worn.

    - No passengers to be carried.

    - Cars will be separated into categories.

    - Prior to entering the circuit for testing, each session will assemble in the Assembly Area and await the signal to proceed on to the circuit proper. (Sessions will rotate in order according to demand)

    - Special conditions apply.

    - No racing allowed, cars will leave dummy grid at 5 second intervals.

    - All drivers are required to attend a briefing before using circuit. This will be held at the conclusion of Documentation.

    R2 SSCC Clubsport Motorkana and Sprints

  7. Hey well it was a good day a good few cars turned up for the 1/4. It went well till the timing system stoped working so thay just had to do the last few passes by stop watch.

    then 24 cars took part in the afternoon track day not much action apart from one guy in a telster or old 626 had a big loose outa the llop he was lucky not to stack it big time.

    So the next track day wont be till April or May sometime
