hello again team
So my outback, 134k never had a issue BUT unsure of its mechanical history!
drive it 60km every day with 0 issues! and I'm a cruiser these day haha!
drove from Hamilton to whangarei.. not one issue, Gt up to go further north car was running mint.. going up a hill with abit more heavy right for areoun 3-4k rpm.. cel and traction control light come up.. guess then on it was in limp mode as I couldn't drive it over 3-4krpm
It drives 100% fine no other isses. gt told it might be bad gas, fulled my tank up - long behold floored it out the gassy and no CEL, slowed down.. took off again no iuues.. 10mins of 100km driving when to speed up from a round about BOOM CEL again.. at this stage I just gave up and drove it like a nana as it drive fine
I did notice a slight nock/rattle at 3200ish rpm.... BUUUUUUUUUUUUT the car will accel fine( no noises or ANYTHING) after turned off for a sec then back on but only for the first 1-2km
Now imma get it put on a scanner, just wondering if anyone ran into this, or am in need for a ez30 turbo build haha
Cheers team

Hey team
Not sure if this has been discussed?!?!
Just put some in my Outback 3.0r - seems fine as its a 98octane.. BUT is it just as good as the other 98s out there?
Anyone know?

thanks team - im still in two minds what to get seems all 3.0 outbacks are quite pricey or done a lot of ks or just not in reasonable range to drive and have a look after work.. foresters are a dime a dozen though could pick one up right now!!!
THEN I drive past meremere and remember my days with the club. and instantly want another STI hahaha.. ahh having choices is hard
sooo imam be picking up an outback on saterday so thank to all that put here 10 cents in...

Yeh
its a tough toss up, I maybe doing some towing (old 68 mk1 escort) or I would of gone forester 1st thing.. I feel the 3.0 6 is going to tow pretty sweet!
still a tough one.. decent km outback aint that cheap! but foresters are haha

Sooooo
After some opinions on this predicament!!
I was after another STI after selling my last 4x4, now ive come to realise a sti isn't really me anymore.. as much as I love them, I also used my ute to go fishing(surfcasting) ALOT
So my question is.. what better for light 4x4 work like beaches/forest roads and mild bush tracks
keep in mind ill probably fit some A/T tyres on them to help a wee bit
ive only gt 7.5k to get one at the mo id like at a higher km 04-05 out back or any unmodified forester,i just know next to nothing about them!
