Have a look at moving your number plate up in line with the support, imho it looks a lot tidier

Could have been fettled by merch? He often takes off the original markings on the compressor housing, but then again he normally attached his own Id on it too

cool the ECU is back from the states and the car on the road. Tactrix are a seriously awesome company.
definitely a newbie f*up though would be sweet if the software showed do not turn the car off as it knows when the flash failed.
wonder if anyone in NZ has built the Tactrix specified SHBootMode circuit board for ECU recovery
Most people here either get professionals to do the retune on a Dyno, or are doing their own tuning from the ground up, and have done a lot of reading and logging before their first re-flash, so are aware of the issues. Bit of a catch-22 really, those that know about the risks are the least likely to encounter them hahaha
Tactrix are really good, fast work, very friendly and helpful bunch of guys

Ooooohh loose surface stuff is fun!!

I do believe that is correct, the wheels won't clear.
Which is no major issue, considering technically as you are changing calipers and potentially rotor size as well, you are supposed to be certing it.....

having changed the steering rack bushes in my v7, i'll give you this advice.
dont do it. dont even think about it. absolute prick of a job, not worth the time hassle or effort.
change the steering rack bushes, spend the remaining money elsewhere.

autosol and a buffer pad also works wonders.
straight criss cross lines when sanding, no swirling motion, start at like, 240 and work your way up to 2000 grit, keep it REALLY wet (wet sponge dribbling water while sanding works well)
then clear coat of some sort.
or just use autosol.

Definitely obd2
Elm327 chips won't read em, need to hunt around to find adapter that will, or just buy a tactrix. iPhone as far as I'm aware doesn't play nicely with subies, I'd strongly recommend an Android app called btssm, works mint

*rolls eyes*
Winger techs and the "she's all fixed, we cleared the codes"
Not the first time I've seen it tbh. And if I was in your shoes I'd take it to someone who will actually tell you the fault, give you the fault code etc and make sure that you are okay with the codes being cleared. That kinda carry on annoys me.
It could have been a sticking waste gate solenoid, normally a hit with brake cleaner will clean out the crud thats stopping it working properly, but be aware it'll happen again soon unless all the associated vacuum lines are also cleaned out. It's a couple of hours to do it thoroughly

Very interesting.
'Issues, the early legacys are renowned for destroying turbos'.
When you say early, when is that exactly; 2003 or older?
I'm looking for one now, so would be useful to know.
Be/bh legacy's, as well as the bd/bg chassis

I use youship and just bite the bullet. It's probably the most cost effective option for smaller stuff, as they'll repackage items to save size

Certainly did... I thought it was tight but when I used torque wrench with proper torque specs, it kept going in until it was seated properly. Also did steering rack bushings (well one of them, drivers side one seems impossible... )
Driver's side, loosen off the steering u joint

Wow.... I think I wanna get a set of those . Did they come as 5x100/114 or both? I would like to get those lights and also the boot spoiler (thing that attaches to bottom of boot window).
Looks mint
Came as 5x100 only, sti spec c option wheels, only on v7/8.
Headlights are factory hid's, with factory fogs as well.
Boot spoiler came on the car, but I'm sure they can be found on eBay :-)
I'm happy with it aye, just don't look at the boot from behind atm, big ding in it from a nose to tail hit and run Monday avo.
What did I do today?
Drove it. Currently in Wellington, getting a few hours kip before being on the 7am ferry down to flatnats, awwwwwyiss

Yeah there's nothing structural, bumper iron is fine, no ripples in the Tyre well, everything is straight, it's literally just the plastic and the outer skin of the boot lid. It still sucks though.
I hope the cops throw the book at the driver. His 3 kids in the car were in tears, begging him to shut up as he was shouting at me for "going to slow" in a 30kmh temporary speed zone. I was turning into the driveway of my scout hall, he full beamed me then punted me up the arse.
All my scouts heard and saw it too, so the rest of the evening was spent reassuring them.

Ooooohh it was salvagable if you didn't turn the car off, just leave it all turned on and attempt to re-write ecu image.
As it stands, you may be able to salvage with sh boot write, but have a chat to @west_minist

Thursday: removed v10 alloy arms, replaced with v7 sedan ones. No more clunks yay! And endlinks are now sitting right. Drives nice, only rattle now is from the loose bit of trim somewhere in the boot.
Today
Primered rims, painting em tomorrow.
Mounted fire extinguisher.
Replaced damaged led park light
Took her for a bit of a drive, hopefully wof and clear coat rims Monday. Running out of time, but only little bits left now to be done.

It's for cooling. I tucked mine behind the front bumper iron

I'm assuming for track day, I have a question.
I have some 88% cotton / nylon blend overalls that's been impregnated with flame retardant, will they be fine?

The scalings wrong, the torque number should be down around 400 or there abouts, factory 207 rods tend to lunch themselves around 500nm.
Nice curve though, should be pretty fun to drive!!
