Was driving around the other day and cel came on, then went off, then back on for a couple of times until it finally stayed on. read the code and it was 31, tps. when me and a mate tried testing it, adjusted it till it was reading .7 ohms at closed and infinate at open. thort that would be ok. rest ecu and went for a drive and code came back on and both closed and open gives a reading of infinate no matter where it is adjusted too. really just want to no if the sensor is poked? or could it be something interfering with it?

  2. i already have cleaned out icv. wasnt bad. also got a new afm so this is why im stumped. the car isnt idling bad or running bad. sometimes it does drop revs when i put the clutch in to bout 700rpm then straights away goes to 1.1rpm. also got an earthing kit :)

  3. so iv checked my codes as the light came on then went away and these 3 keep popping up. have reset the ecu but it just keeps coming back. the car doesnt feel out like these are bad. any ideas why??

  4. a mate over heated his sti v3 once. quickly stopped at the gas station as soon as we realized it was overheaten, filled up the water and all was good for a week or two. then the sti would randomly over heat like once every half hour or more. then got closer to every 10min of driving. then it was time for new headgaskets. horible feeling

  5. update. my car is still idling bad. it starts up well. idles healthy. get to the end of my drive way and up the rd and by that time, if i put the clutch in and let the revs drop all the way it struggles to stay alive. just sits around 700 and sometimes dies. quite abit lately. sometimes it idles normally. i think its running rich and flooding itself but dont no why. have tried adjusting both screws on throttle body and icv. two codes have come up, temp sensor and knock sensor. then i reset the ecu. went for a drive and only knock sensor came back. any ideas??

    i recently got a orange label E afm to put on my 1991 rs and the plug has a 3 wire system whereas the car has a 5 wire plug. Ichi Ban has help telling me that the 2 extra wires are an intake air temp sensor. anyone done this change? which wires do i expand out any info will be helpful?

    also can a bad knock sensor effect the idling out a car??cheers

  7. i have put the icv pipe that goes into the inlet of the turbo in the way to block some of the air but the idle hasnt changed a bit. the screw on top of the throttle body that adjusts the idle, i have change it many times and the only thing i can get is if i tightn the screw quite abit it will idle nicely but at about 2k and wont go any lower. just stays around 2k. if i wind it back to try slow down the idle revs it drops back down 500-800.

  8. i run a mushroom filter and it takes a straight pipe into the turbo. i have also tried changing the icv will the car has warmed up but with no success. what u mean put a pipe in. sounds interesting :D also throttle sensor? how to set that?
