I've got a black one and the missus has a white one.. black definitely shows the dirt more, she hasn't cleaned hers since buying it but still looks ok (i've cleaned it twice, but not in a couple of months now due to injury)
-
Yup it's a rev D, each to their own i guess, i quite like that kit

Sorry,, stupid question coming... What you mean by rev d ? ??? :-
In that model legacy, as the years went by, they came out with different "revisions" (A, B, C and D). Essentially just signalled mostly minor changes. Rev D was the last and came out in 2001-2002 (and a few at the start of 2003). Yours is a Rev D and for that revision they changed compression, tunable ECU, different headlights and grill etc
-
Ah i see, i just can't read
-
I'm not an authority on the subject, but from what i've read on the interwebs, Rev A-C basically the same, whereas Rev D got slight cosmetic changes (i.e. grill and headlights), revised compression, flashable ECU and possibly even lighter bonnet?. So i think it's the D with compression change, not C? Again, i'm happy to be corrected.

and flashable ECU?
Sorry, that's only the D, not C :-\ {i]aggh, not fast enough[/i] }

Yup yours is a C, can tell by the headlights

Are you sure you're interested in a Subaru? Seems you have nothing good to say about them. A Legacy of that era (and most newer/unmodified ones too), will never compare to a Skyline, they were never built to. Legacy's are more aimed towards being a business and sports car.. comfortable but with a bit of go.
As for reliability, you'll find many on here that will attest to the fact that they're reliable just so long as you look after and maintain them properly. I've owned 3 so far, ranging from '95 - '05, and never had any major problems.
As for what's good, nothing like a few test drives to sort that out

Hmm, not that I remember. I think Clubsub Mum has a V10 currently, could check with her
-
I had a 2005 (still V10) but sold it a couple of years ago..
-
Thule have some that fit, check their website for a fitting guide. They're expensive though
-
Maybe not that useful, but gonna be around $27,000 USD.
Also funny they call the standard model "premium".. good ol' marketing right there

They only made 100 of the white ones, and they're all sold.. damn. (You know, cos I woulda ordered one otherwise :)
-
That white one is pimp! Love it

Buy my Sony XAV-70BT... more than $300 though! http://www.sony.co.nz/product/xav-70bt?tabName=specifications

I think people hate on them if they've experienced troubles with them in the past. No doubt the BP/BL is a nicer car, but so are generally all newer models. Nothing wrong with BH's if you treat them nicely, which is the same with all Subarus IMO
-
Yup it's a Rev D and therefore facelift, that was the last of that shape. Also looks like it's an E-Tune too so a tiny bit more friendly on gas than previous models
-
Sh*t man, you need a re-intro thread so all your fans can welcome you back.. me included Plus i wanna see how the car's looking!
-
I'm pretty sure wagons are different
-
My vote's for rev D and E-tune, why separate the two? In saying that, I don't think E-tune is important
-
You may have just hit the nail on the head there mate!!!
Ok here's one for all you legacy lOvers,
Bh legacy GT-B E tune or Be legacy B4 RSK REV-D
What's the difference apart from the obvious?
Let the duel begin!
/quote]
correct me if i'm wrong but the E-Tune stands for economy so less power? revision D is the way to go however. alloy bonnet? and will be newer / better condition and stuff. Lights look cooler too
what about a legacy sedan with the ez30?
I'm fairly sure you're wrong on that one, as far as I'm aware E-tune is just cosmetic changes? Not claiming to know that for sure though.
And isn't the only other difference between the two the obvious bit? Don't think there was a difference in parts or performance between the sedan and wagon..
[Edit] Just found this which implies we're both right: http://www.uklegacy.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=114283

I went through this, ended up getting a loan for some extra cash and buying a V10 Best decision i ever made too, only ever regretted selling it. When i was looking at something to buy a couple of years ago, ended up with a 2.8L BMW.. really liked it for a while, and thought i wanted the nicer ride etc, but eventually got bored of it and am now back in a GTB and wanting an STI. Each to their own though
