  1. im bit worried but i ve done few engines before and was sucessfull.... and thanks so much guys to let me know about those tools to hear pre ignition like DIY, ive been looking for one, but i didnt know the name of it, gonna buy one, make sure that is not pre ignition when im tunning, years ago when i did my last car, i had to listen pre ignition 9 kind hard specially when u got a car with exhaust upgrade ) , good to know now we ve got this tool
  2. im using a pigy back, im thinking to boost it to 19 psi using standart ignition, if pre ignition come on ill retard the ignition

Hi guys, ive got here all tools to tune make a light tune in my wrx V5 and i will put all on it this weekend, im thinking to boost it up to something around19psi , i will adjust the fuel, and also ignition, however i would like to know how the knock sensor works, if i have pre ignition will come on in my dash a light or what ?? thanks Victor
  4. i found clutch exedy stage 2 more flywheel D1 ( 13lbs ) both per less than 800 dolares, but as i told, the guy said that is suitable o for models that have push clutch setups. WOULD IT FIT IM MY WRX V5?? if not maybe i will go for rebuilt
  5. Hi guys i have to re´place my clutch and also i will replace the flywhell , i found on trademe a good clutch for a good price, but the seller says : suitable for models that have push clutch setups. Anyone know what kind setup is WRX V5??

  7. hi guys, when i bought my wrx i thought my clock was not working, but today i saw that this is working, but the clock light is not working as should work, i only can see the time when the sun hits my dash otherwise i cant. does anyone know how to fix that ??
  8. today i realized my clutch is starting to slip on full boost, so asi have to change it, i was thinking to put a flywhell on it, does anyone know a good flywheel not so much expensive ? should i put standart clutchor heavy duty ? soon i will boot up my car to 18 psi ( remapping )

Hi guys, just gt my wrx v5 few weeks ago, it has now pod filter and downpipe aftermarket, today i just fit my boost gauge and when i put my foot down come on 15 psi, is that right?? ive heard that the factory boost is 12 psi, but im not sure if this information is right, also as i have downpipe and pod filter, does those things can bring boost up ?? thanks a lot Victor

    In England there is a guy who remap legacy rs-b and gt-b ( 1996 -1999 / 4g ecu ) he gets rip of the lag between the turbos and some cars i heard that is running with 20 psi safe, with original engine. however very expensive to remap, only the daugther board is 395 pounds plus remap. i think is the only place in the world that the remap for those car are available

    thats what mines / prova ecu ...etc does, they install a daugther board and do the remap, also piggy back does the job and much more cheap.

Why did they warned you ?? will take a litle while to fit it in my car, due the piggy back runs on windows xp, so i will buy a second hand laptop with XP, anyway when im done, i will put the results here. I was thinking about something like ling G4, but i dont want heavy tune, only light tune as i use my car everyday for everything, also link g4 is over 1.500 plus the loom etc... and my piggyback was 250,00 and manage boost, fuel and ignition, good enough for a light tune =)
  13. wrx v5 import from japam, i have to press the clutch t turn my engine on,otherwise wont do it.

  16. Must be a stupid question, but i just got m wrx few days ago, it gt immobilizer, but i would like to know how do i know if the immobilizer is original or aftermarket ?? Thanks victor
  17. thanks man, i cant believe i didnt see that b4. Piggy back allows you change the settings of your ecu, doesnt matter if is remapable or not , piggy back usualy allows remap for most of ecus. with piggy back u cant change timing , boost and setup the fuel for wrx version 1 , 2, 3 ,4 ....basically any car according perfectpower. take look on their website. www.perfectpower.com

Hi guys, im trying to install a piggy back in my car, and i got ecu diagram from http://www.linkecu.com/support/documentation/g1-engine-management-documentation/MY99Manual page 35, and i have one doubt. why the crankshaft e camshaft pins are the same ?? i need to hook up my crankshaft signal (+) to my piggy back, but i dont kwn if is B136 pin 5 or 6 ?? also im afraid to hook it up and somthing wrong happens due camshaft and crankshaft uses the same Pins for sheld (B136 pin 30) and negative signal ( B136 pin 23 ) is this diagram correct ? anyone has other diagram ?
  20. Yes, i know, but difference between acvr and this valve = AVCr = $600 / Valve = $50. I dont think so this valve makes same results of manual boos controller, coz i got some boost in my car, i got 15 psi on my first stage and 2 stage does not do 15 psi, on this video, that guy gets same psi quickly on 2 stage !!! Usually 2 stage boost come a litle bit lower.

  22. DOes anyone know about this Valve ? ( Norgren Valve Relief ) . I saw somepeoples saying that this valve reduces lag between turbo. I would like to know exactly what model and how to fit it in my legacy. Thanks a lot Victor
