Hey guys, a mate's evo 5 rs was stolen sometime last night from his driveway in Mt Wellington. Being an rs it had black door handles, no rear boot garnish etc. Its also had the factory wheels painted black. Had Evo 7 recaros too. There aren't many of these around so hopefully its found soon.
If spotted please call the police

5000-6000rpm looks like a whole lot of fun Minaj haha

Really...? If that's the case, I certainly won't be using another Exedy clutch! Never had any issues in the past... Its done less than 3 000km's.
I drive the car pretty hard as its my wkend car. Will inspect the clutch master cylinder this wkend.
Did you get the flywheel machined when you replaced the clutch?

The new pump was installed a few days BEFORE the reflash so it will have nothing to do with the reflash. I went for a drive with the op after he installed the pump to see if it was obvious but it drove as good as any stock v7 would, didn't notice anything abnormal. They did use the aftermarket deatschwerks filter sock on the new pump and i've told him to swap back to the stock one. He just thinks it was faster before the pump install for some reason. But the reflash was done a few days after this so now even i'm confused with what he's getting at

But you got a reflash after changing the pump...

OK just bought the DW200 and installed it, but seem's like i have lost a bit of power after putting the negative terminal back on the battery (ECU RESET), not quite sure if the previous owner had turned up the boost.. but the car doesn't even have a boost controller. Weird. Can't wait to get a re-flash.
How much is a good electronic boost controller?
Is this any good? : http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/electronics/auction-800261212.htm

Let me know,
Thanks guys.
Didn't we discuss this today and come to the conclusion that it'll be best to just hold off till the reflash? Lol..why so impatient! Just do what evowrx and kwi_fozze said

Not all cars are equal some exact v7/8 stis have a difference back to back so can have big differences when tuned. Some v3-6 will make 200wkw others 230wkw at same boost and limited by 440cc injectors. No 2 equal appearing cars will dyno the same ever.
Yeah fully understand and agree with you, have seen and heard of many different results from very similar cars over the years. Was just joke from a conversation I had with the OP yesterday

Keeen to see this 80wkw gain lol
-
CDL autoparts does them
-
Yeah car doesn't have to be on the ground. Just use a jack to preload the suspension
-
If it\'s been sitting that long it could just be moisture
-
Repco sells them
-
sounds more like a faulty fuel pump relay
-
-
Think I met you when you came into Repco the other day? can\'t help with answering your question but looks like a decent gain!

Mate\'s got a C63 AMG. regularly go for \'cruises\' in it, absolutely ridiculous power and torque..best part about them is the sound
-
Get a Honda. :-\

Will do shortly. Was it a fusible link or blade fuse? Ive downloaded what I think is a diagram of the engine box as its import but need to mish out to the garage to check. Havent been too stressed as it never gets driven but need to pull wrx off the road so it needs to be going so we have a wag lol.
Was a blade fuse
-
I constantly had the same issue in my old GSR, was the accessory fuse in the engine bay fuse box. Double check it

Got car back from Gary tonight. Not tuned yet as I need to fix some exhaust leaks and steering rack is leaking >=( man a 3" straight pipe is fuking loud!!! Can\'t hear myself think lol let alone the music lol drives fine and goes quite well for just 9psi. Plumb back wastegate so no dickhead gate noise fixing it up and sending back in a couple weeks fingers crossed
Haha damn, was expecting you to post up a power figure! let me know if you need new gaskets etc
-
It was audible but not excessively loud on mine. Yeah the leak is probably amplifying the sound
-
Pretty sure its normal with these turbos, my old v4 STi did the same

This came straight to my mind too, have had this issue before a number of times caused by the oxygen sensor failing. not in a subaru but surely they do the same thing
