Thanks, I will download this and have a look - the timing is just all i am looking to do at the moment, as there must be slight knock to retard timing and boost on 95, 98 is half an hour away If anyone else out there knows where to get B4 definitions (XML files) for ecuflash or romraider as the definitions they provide are DTC only (diagnostic only defs) it would be awesome.
  2. Yeah will do, I can open the rom, but yeah its basically missing all the tables - so the definitions aren't complete. Cant find them anywhere on the net, will post on romraider and openecu, but thought someone on here might have them or know where to get them. Cheers
  3. So after a little help here. I have a revD Blitzen in which I have pulled the ROM from the ECU via ECUflash. I want to retard the base timing a little do get rid of a little det. I am having trouble locating the definitions for my ROM, can anyone help here. My ROM ID is A4SH701H, but if someone has another TT B4 legacy rom and definition I guess i could flash that to the ECU. Is there any other solutions? Cheers
  4. Yeah, I was a bit weary about it - I have run 4 tanks of adding 5L per tank with 50L on 95 - the car doesn't "detonate" so to say and cut the timing and boost to 0.5bar like it was without it. The thing with Methanol i believe is the water content which rusts/damages fuel components. The car runs well with the blend but I will keep this discussion updated in future should I run into any problems - but so far so good
  5. Own the car for a couple of months now - just wanting to get confirmation that the primary turbo stage runs to 1 Bar and when the secondary kicks in between 0.9-1Bar boost. Car is dead stock - also reading between -0.7-0.8 Bar vacuum on the Defi STI genome boost gauge. Also I believe its normal for the boost to surge slightly between 0.1-0.2 bar when cruising at 100kmh with very light throttle? a GFB BOV should fix this as the factory BOV leaks to "get the car off the low boost"???   6. For those of you who are interested - JDM Turbo Subarus are supposed to be run on 100 Octane. 98 is the highest we can get here in NZ. I have to drive 30 mins to get 98 and my B4 Blitzen detects detonation on 95 and reverts the ECU to "safe maps" - which i think retards the timing and decreases boost from 1 Bar to 0.5 Bar. As you may know Gull Force 10 is a 10% ethanol blend and is 98 Octane also - the car runs fine on this, but again have not got access to it. I now buy E100 ethanol and I blend up my own E10 with 95 - 58 Litres 95 and 6 Litres of Ethanol @ $2.25 per litre - Which makes close to 100 Octane. The car not only runs max boost without Det - I no longer have to travel to get 98 - its also cheaper to blend it yourself!!!
