If the cell light come on then a error code will be loged in the ecu. Fining thats a good place to start.
Info on how to find the code can be found on the faq section.
Theres 2 black plugs under the steering coloum. Plug them together and turn key on.
The check engine light will flash long and short flashes. Long being first diget and short the seccond.
Ther could be many codes
Hoping this is pisstake lmao

Slight problem on that one lol
-
That\'s what I was hoping, tbh I know nothing about the ecu\'s apart from that the ones that came in cars with cable driven speedos got their reading from the cluster itself as opposed to a sensor on the box
Confuse
-
I\'m sure I could make something of it lol? Any days this week you don\'t need your car?
-
The 3/4 ecu are the same? Lol doing a type ra conversion on my v2 sedan, huuuuge mission eh, but getting there. And the v4 cluster is rather sexy lol
-
Oh dear lol hope you\'ve got a v4 heater core as well, I\'m running into soooo many problems
On the other hand you should sell me your dash. Will pay good $

Lol I bought something like this from jaycar. Plugs look roughly the same. Maybe you could see if you could photocopy the manual? Lol

Hmmm going back to look at it tonight, will follow the wires and see where they lead...

I yelled at my wrx for having no spark

Did some more loom shit
-
Picked up a new loom to go in, fed some through the holes behind the guards.
Then sat down and scratched my head looking at the mess I made
Looked at it some more
Polished my front mount (ily autosol)

Realised I love my car even after it being a prick

Nah, that\'s my old wagon. This is a sedan I\'m working on now, believe its version 2 judging by its chassis code of GC8B##### etc?
-
Haha thanks but nah it\'s alright, it wa a relay that stopped it. Stupid alarm. Anyway went to reloom it today with all the sti shit and the body loom plugs are different, fml

Well fuel pump crapped out today. Joy...

Just bought a new wrx, was originally a v3 automatic but has just been converted with a v4 Type R motor and gearbox.
It still has the auto ecu, but I couldn\'t see that causing the hesitation and lack of power at 5k?
Any clues? The speed sensor is up the s**t, seen on a few other forums it can cause problems.. can any one clarify this?

Ive got a 2 way steelmate alarm, prob not the best brand but it works pretty good so far. Is engine start alarm so I use it every morning to warm car up, it lets me know what door has been open and stuff like that. Doesnt have turbo timer feature but I dont really need it anyway as I always warm my car down by drving it gently before I turn her off. as said above. Was put into my V7 WRX, Had to bypass the clutch system as before clutch needed to be engaged to start but not anymore have rigged up a switch to choose if I want to use clutch start or not. Alarm system was $250 installed. Good product for the price imo
Remote start sounds cool I suppose.. lol

I want to have a turbo timer. Not that i\'ll use it all the time. But would be nice to have as I like to be nice to my turbos lol
-
Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone knows of a well priced alarm with built in turbo timer? and remote start as well maybe?
cheers

As the title states; selling a Clarion C9CD V6 650 double-din head unit.
Actually a factory Mazda unit but it\'s pretty damn cool (especially when you can read Jap)
Has english for most of it\'s operations.. but the important bits; DVD + CD Playback, SD Card Reader, USB, Bluetooth, and what\'s really cool? Built in HDD. Good looking unit. Requires band expander for radio reception, but with iPod compatibility (apparently) it\'s not too much of a worry.
Looking for offers on it, comes with semi wiring loom to wire it into your Subaru I can attach an ISO connector if required.

Car wont boost past 6psi

Lol use a can of upper engine cleaner and clean your bcs (Boost control solenoid)..
Otherwise I\'d check your wastegate actuator, my wrx was boosting 9psi(ish) even with just the wastegate connected directly to the pressure nipple on the turbo. Pulled it off and it was like a babies toy, just rattled around and then finally broke lol
Get rid of the boost tap as well if you\'ve got one lol
