go see l.alexander in hania st (behind rutherford and bond toyota), nick there is an auto sparky genius.

they will also do mechanical work if you need it.

as for an exhaust, midas adelaide road are awesome at making custom exhausts, my suggestion is ditch the second cat (after the Y pipe) and custom 2.5 mild steel, should cost less than $500. not very bling but a bit louder than factory and slight power gains over a factory set up. I did it on my old twin turbo legacy.

Sweet thanks for the input guys , gotta love these forums. Buying another Rev D legacy because I <3 them so much lol

  2. Hi guys, got a Greddy turbo timer and boost gauge needs fitting, can anyone help? Happy to come to you or what not. Also can anyone recommend where I can get a exhaust upgrade from around wellington for my car?

Oh almost forgot its 01 Legacy B4 RSK Manual

    cheers ;D

  3. Hi guys, so i've searched everywhere and hoping someone can help me out here. Got a 2001 BE5 Legacy TT Sedan and after upgrading the exhaust so does anyone have cat back or turbo back systems for these cars at all?

you dont need to undo the battery, but you will want to reset your ecu (plugs under the dash) after installing the new sensor.

My mechanic quoted me $300 for AF sensor and dealer has it for $200 even if it is more expensive than retail. I dont like putting in used parts unless I absolutely have to so trade me isn't an option.

By plugs i'm guessing you mean the black ones under the dash as opposed to the green ones which are for self diagnostic right?

  5. Thanks ;D Found one from subaru dealer for $200 bit pricey but atleast it will be genuine.

Have a quick inquiry, do you need to remove the battery before installing new one of these? Or can you just install it without removing battery and car detects a new sensor automatically?

    Thanks again ;D

  6. Hi guys, so my cars decided to go into Limp home mode yesterday and has check engine light on which puts out code 23 (ie. Air flow sensor Problem)

Quick question - does anyone know how much should an Air flow sensor and O2 Sensor for a BE5 Legacy RSK should cost? Any advice on where to get one from at good price in wellington area?

    Thanks ;D

    How old are you??

Jokes aside, put both on track with same driver (or track experienced drivers) and lap times will tell. Also the model you posted is heavier than older models. Put a civic R or an Integra R ae. But ya a B4 would eat the honda in straight line.

damn this makes me miss the Civic a had for a wee while, bout 200-220 whp and only weighs 970 kg full trim.

Yeah well my mistake, i actually meant B4 rsk vs 2003+ EURO R accord. Integra and civic are not same class of cars as b4 so only talking about 4door sedans here.

Isn't the left channel usually the mono input?

    /quote]

If you are talking a stereo signal, then maybe, but that's not the case here. He is using a Mono (1 channel) amp with a mono signal (sub pre-out) so it makes no difference.

Well its a monoblock (1ch) amp so essentially if I understand it correctly, just connect mono L(or R) RCA from the amp to mono sub pre-out at the back of the headunit?

It's a mono signal, as opposed to the front & rear, left and right stereo signals. Use the subwoofer pre-out.

Subwoofers do not particularly like a stereo signal.

So since there is only single sub pre out as opposed to L+R pre out on amp, how would i connect them up?

  11. Hi everyone. First off thanks for viewing the post and feedback in advance..

Now whats been puzzling me. I have pioneer pioneer gm-d7400m Monoblock Amplifier and Sony 1300watt subwoofer. The amp has L+R Pre-Out RCA input.

On the back of my headunit, I have 3 RCA inputs: Front L+R Pre out , Rear L+R Pre out and single SUB Pre out.

What is the single SUB Pre out at the back of the headunit for? Is it for an active subwoofer?

Should I match and connect L+R pre-out on my amp to L+R (front or rear) at the back of the headunit?

    Sorry if ive confused anyone.

  12. ;D really loving the sound of GREDDY Type RS BOVs if anyone has them for sale, PM me :D

Also want to do a Boost Gauge + water Temp gauge install, anyone in lower hutt/welly region can help me with that? Ive done I.C.E. work alot but never engine work so wanting to learn .
