  1. Going price for new set of 18" wheels (without tyres) is about $800-1200 depending on what you get. 18" wheel and tyre combo runs about the $1800-$2000 mark. Where are you getting your wheel sets from for under $700 ? do they have good styles ? interested.
  2. Anyone know the offset for 2003-2005 Legacy Gt-B 18 inch wheels ? I intended to paint mine a different colour when the tyres were due but thinking for the extra $700 might be better getting something different. What would a good condition set of factory 18" wheels be worth 2nd hand ? doesnt seem to be many for sale anywhere. Are the factory wheels pretty good quality and weight wise ?
  3. AMI INsurance Here 2004 Legacy GT-B >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2 drivers over 25 Full no claims Glass extension FreeBMax - (2 claims per year with no loss of bonus) $16,0000 agreed value $300 accident excess $500 theft\fire >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $624 per year >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
  4. By my calcs based on 120 bytes per location sent using GPRS thats 436906 positions from a 50MB Mi2Go pre pay data plan on Vodaphone There are 2592000 seconds in a 30 day month. so 50Mb gets you around 10-12 second interval ??????? for 24\7 tracking ($6 per month) Someone correct me if Im wrong
  5. Nah its sweet if people want to spend extra that's fine, tbh there is not alot in it for me by the time I organise peoples payment, order, shipping and even less if customs snap my parcels. Just thought if I can make enough to cover my own unit, and everyone gets one cheaper than TradeMe prices then everyone wins. We need more people do group buys and to be using retailers less.
  6. Is 14.3 before or after mods? (front pipe etc) After the mods
  7. Thats right folks for a mere $30 more + shipping you can have the exact same unit. Mabey if your friend wants to sell them he can get a ClubSub forum account and start his own group buy rather than getting his mates to hijack mine ? just a thought.
  8. 11 by my count SOS - 2 pin Mic - 2 pin Data interface - 3 pin Power - 2 pin Acc detect - 1 pin Fuel cut \ Horn - 1 pin http://images-en.busytrade.com/192116300/Gsm-Quad-band-Bl-gt06-Gps-Vehicle-Tracking-System.jpg
  9. Any car alarm, auto electrician or stereo place should install them. Should cost no more than $100-$150 to install (same cost as a car alarm) so $120 for the unit + about $150 install + SIM Card $30, about $300 all up. The main unit needs to be mounted up high in the dash board so it can get reception (mainly for GPS Sattalite). Rear parcel tray is also an option, even front bumper, provided its water proof.
  10. Last chance on these, ordering last lot middle of this week. $120 delivered. email name and delivery address to [email protected] and ill send payment instructions.
  11. Paid $160 for the filter assembly from Subaru about 2 years ago (on our 1999 B4). Labour was 3 hours ish. About $500 all up. Apprently those in tank ones are good for around 100,000 kms. Our B4 had its one replaced at 160,000 and it was well overdue (all sorts of deposits).
  12. Ahhh yep, the Mongoose copy, I looked at it, but the GT06 is more compact design, better price and has all the same features. Not sure where they get their pricing on that VT310, but the best I can do on that one is $150 + shipping.
  13. Nah different box, the 2003 onwards are way more responsive and smoother, Subaru really got the shift points nailed. I came from driving a manual performance car for the last 10 years and am really liking the 5 speed auto.
  14. Yeah true, for my price I organise everything and take the risk of custom duties upto you.
  15. Free flowing front pipe + ECU tune on a tiptronic should get you 180 kw at the wheels. Talk to PBMS in Pukekohe, they should be able to do the lot around $1500 (tune and front pipe), add a AdrenalinR resonator for $250 to sort out the noise issue with bigger front pipe and you will love it. Manuals run different turbos, you will get more. But the RevD 5 speed tiptronics are actually way better than the old 4 speeds.
  16. I thought Revision D was 2003 onwards ?. Whats your chassis number ??
  17. Yep Google map link sent back for SMS For live tracking you text details to the GPS for setting website service and account. The default one that comes with unit (wwwcootrack.net) costs $3US per year. Ive got 6 people in the MR2 club keen.
  18. Depends which service you use, you specify the website\IP to send the data to, I believe there are some free services youd have to research. Also you pay data charges on your phone account and this varies depending on the plan (pre pay, or contract). I believe PrePay data is something like 30 cents per MB, cant see GPS data in tracking mode using much. SMS is like 30 cents each way (1 to text your car and one txt to respond).
  19. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/alarms-security/other/auction-483533137.htm Same unit as this one. $120 + shipping. Got a few guys in MR2 club keen as well
  20. For sure, I have to wait for sensible wife to drive and then report back with some economy results, although 14.3L was about what we would get for 50/50 mix of town \ highway previously. 70 highway / 30 town would usually net 11L per 100kms.
  21. Hi all, im looking at importing and testing a GPS Tracking Unit from overseas and wonder if there would be any interest from members ? around the $100 price range ? Key features will be - easy install (DIY 2 wires for power, everything else integrated into unit) - GSM Tracking using SMS or Internet Post here, can get fully featured units for $150 as well if anyone is interested ie (engine cut, sos etc ).
  22. Fuel economy update, first refill since tune. 370kms (100km open road and 270km town driving) playing with new power a fair bit 14.3L per 100 kms Will plug some more figures in this thread later, reckon pure open road econ wont be much more than stock (10-11L per 100) quite happy with the results.
  23. Turbos run rich anyway under boost 10-12 L is good for open road 12-14 is good for mixed driving If you are still worried borrow a wide band O2 sensor, or find a mechanic and get some readings. Another possibility could be some engine knock and its pulling timing = less power per stroke thus less distance travelled for given amount of fuel. Also try reset the ECU, mabey clear out any codes and relearn the fuel map.
  24. Gary tuned it for fast take off at lights. Most of the torque comes on in the 0-80 kmh range, but 80-120 still has more than factory. Basically tuned for performance where it matters ie round town and open road at legal speeds.
