  1. Did some research on on other forums and there are so many different suggestions such as turning it anti-clockwise, pulling it on an angle etc. but none seem to work. I could just cut it off but I don\'t want damage as I want to be able to put it back just in case the adapters for the new one don\'t fit. Looks like the stock gear knob is in to stay If anyone has successfully taken one of those off before any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. Still no luck. Has anyone tried removing one of these before?
  3. Hi, Yes I need that part off as the new one won't fit on it. I took the console part off and had a look but the boot leather is connected to it so I can't access it from below. I also just realized the momo knob I have doesn't have a plastic lip for the boot leather to go onto. Anyway to keep the boot leather in place without that lip on the gear knob? assuming I can get that plastic part off. Thanks
  4. Hi, I'm trying to install a momo gear knob but I can't seem to get the plastic bit the stock gear knob screws into off. I've tried unscrewing it and forcing it off but it won't move an inch and I don't want to break anything. Is there some special way it's supposed to come off or is it just been a b**** Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank You
  5. Will do. The car won't be stock for long though after working on the full exhaust system incl. new headers will look at fuel system (fuel injectors etc.) and engine.
  6. Thanks for the advice. I have ordered a boost gauge so will definitely fit that before. I will probably look at getting a new one then and getting it professionally installed...I like my engine in one piece! I did however find this on trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=435851963 which sounds more along the lines of what I need so that I can just turn a dial from inside the car to go from normal boost to the higher boost setting when needed (Evo at the traffic lights). Plus my bank acc. would be a lot healthier with that setup in terms of fuel consumption. I know the electronic HKS and Blitz boost controllers can be around $600+ but I don't see much difference in features to justify the price difference but if anyone can say they are truly worth the extra money and your not just paying for a brand name then I might consider just saving up and getting one of those and doing the job right the first time. Thanks
  7. Hi, i was looking at installing a bleed valve because from what I've read so far it's one of the most cost efficient ways to increase horsepower on turbo cars. Most of the forums I've read said they are pretty easy to put together so I was just wondering if anyone has put together their own or knows how to make one + install? I can purchase them new from http://www.redlineperformance.co.nz/?action=products&type1=Boost%20controllers&type2=Boost%20tee but from what I've been hearing you can make them for a fraction of the price.
  8. Hey Mate, Just wondering if the offer was still up for me to borrow those two stands? and the can of paint stripper? I just need to sort out a date with chulozumo to get the Mags sprayed. Cheers
  9. I'm in Khandallah and would need them for a weekend at the most.
  10. Hi, I'm getting my mags powder coated and need something to jack the car up onto. Does anyone have any axle stands I could borrow plz? Don't mind shouting who ever to some beers.... Cheers
  11. Hi, Im going to get them powder coated by chulozumo. Also checking how much it will costs to soda blast them. If its a lot i will sand them myself and happily pay to use some of that paint stripper thanks. Also i was wondering if anyone had some axel stands i could borrow to jack the car up? Would be very grateful. Thanks.
  12. Hi, Does anyone know of a good place to get mags resprayed? Found a place in Petone called Bodyworks that will charge around $70 per rim.
