@B4 2000 Gonna put spacers on them at all? I've always liked those ones besides the terrible factory offset
Most likely yes!they are +55 offset which I think with a 15-20mm spacers would look perfect.
I’m also working on a 6pot front brake setup at the moment and I really hope those wheels will clear.- 1

What's with the odd comp cover rotation? Is it going to have a 90 welded straight on it going forwards?
not sure yet but I think will be clocked down to run under the intake pipe/filter.

Assuming my car is finished by then, I plan on making an appearance. Unlikely to enter the track day but hopefully be there for the whole weekend.

I'd start by making sure volumes are correct in the cooling system and overflow tank and no air in system and keeping an eye on it.
If still smell of coolant/overflow then could be as simple as a failing radiator cap (not holding correct pressure and overflowing) or cooling system getting pressurised from combustion and some coolant is escaping causing the smell.- 1

I'll be keen, can't do this weekend (other thread) as I'm away so during next week should be all go

You had it dynoed? Killer turbo manCurrently after the switch to BP98 it's sitting at 287Kw at wheels, previously on gull 98 it was making 307Kw!
Would've still been able to go over 300 with BP98 but temperature on day of tune were causing car to go to limp/safe mode as coolant temps kept hitting 105 so we decided to call it a day instead of pushing more (yes I know I need a better cooling system/a better radiator than factory legacy one)
However, with BP98 it's much economical, did Palmerston North to Rolleston on one tank and could've continued to Ashburton and probably further with a fully loaded car.

Hi Canterbury peeps!
I just moved down to Timaru, should be here for the next 4-5 months then moving up to Christchurch.
As I don't know anyone here at all, what's here to do? It seems like a bit of -dare I say it- old people town?
Also, is there a trusted Subaru garage here?
My car is easy to spot, and has a clubsub sticker on rear window, so holla if you see me

ill be there as well, but im only coming from down the road -Palmy-
will keep an eye on this thread in case any planed a meet or something!

Aye, the pissy little lights in the bumper. I have HIDs in the main headlights from factory. I guess the manual above says "front FOG light" so that's what we'll call them aye So B42000 did you wire them up? I recently changed my factory HID bulbs to 8000k ones and wanted to make the foggiest blue too
I believe they were straight replacement, just get a kit for H3 bulbs and see instructions. Mine were replaced by previous owner and when i took them out they looked like a straight swap job!

Dumb question. My car is factory fitted with hid lamps- can I retrofit hids into my fog lights or no and if no then why not?
Answer is YES you can, and you won't have any issues with law etc as they are projector lenses (assuming you have a BE or BH) and beam pattern would be fine -had HIDs as fog lights for 3+ years with multi WOFs from VTNZ with no issue-
However, fog lights are meant to be yellowish for some theory that say that yellow lights penetrate the fog better (there are scientists that say it isn't better tho)

Haven't used the car in few days and was bored yesterday so decided to go for a drive down to the beach.
Excuse the dirty car and not so great quality of the iPhone's photo.

What have you done to your car today?

With the lighter wheels it should make steering lighter and more responsive anyway.
I weighed a wheel and it's 9Kg which pretty light for an OEM 18x8.5 wheel. Had a mate weigh a 5 spoke wheel and it weighed 12.4Kg (both weighed using a bathroom scale).
Agreed, however, the bigger brakes is probably the only 'form over function' thing I'm doing which will only be noticed by some people and get them to wonder if anything else been done to the car.
