  1. Wheels on third to last pic are tops! Think they are Enkei\'s just not sure which one???
  2. Anyone know where in auckland and roughly how much it is to get wheels repainted? I know there is someone here who repainted his wheels white on his black version 9 and they look sick. Any other suggestions for wheels??? Even something in different PCD and do something like this... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/impreza/auction-557367286.htm
  3. I know you can get torques in white but mxr\'s painted white... Maybe?
  4. Where can you get an extended Rear wing like the one on following link? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=559523748
  5. Just copied and paste from ad A fresh, fully forged, documented & blueprinted ,closed deck, possum bourne performance shortblock has just been installed with All brand new JE forged pistons Argo forged rods Polished crankshaft Possum Bourne modified oil galleries Possum Bourne modified baffled sump Genuine Subaru bearings They usually say 450 HP + but is that at the engine or wheels. Just don\'t want to go push it way past its capabilities
  6. New car has a fresh one of these in it and just wondering what they can \'really\' handle. Hoping to get 300kw atw if it can take it
  7. That white V9 has been on trademe for like a year at that price. Dreams are free I guess
  8. Think I might stick with 8.5" wheel width and go with 235/40 or 245/40 tyre size as some really good deals in those sizes on good rubber atm.
  9. Looking at 235/40 at this stage, how stretched are they on 9.5"?
  10. Hey guys and girls finally getting a Subaru again and looking like a black V7 sti. Need some wheel suggestions her it pictures being the best. So far I\'d love to get my hands on some Rota MXR 18x9.5 38p in hyper black if they are still avail somewhere but all suggestions welcome.
  11. Just answered my own question... If you were doing 11L/100k pre tune with 90% open road driving that's not too great either for a legacy gt, like I said earlier mine had 200kw atw and open road driving I could still get 8.5-9.5L/100k so I'd say you had an issue prior to tune and tune has just accelerated it and made it worse or you have a lead foot. Take it back to Garry capper as he will have some sort of satisfaction thing with his work
  12. Pre tune what were your fuel usage stats roughly?
  13. Mate take it back and get them to check it. My 06 legacy with full exhaust bigger top mount and host of other things with 200 kw atw still did 550km around town and heaps more on open road with same fuel tank
  14. Hey Guys. I'm Dave and I'm a Personal Trainer for fitfitfit studio in Grey Lynn Auckland which won exercise studio of the year last year at the NZ fitness awards. I've owned 3 cars in my 26 yrs so far most recently whats on my Sig and hoping to turn it into a race car only as its the most fun I have ever had racing around the track. Don't know much about cars from a technical standpoint but love reading the forums and learning bits here and there from those in the know
  15. Whats your budget? For something really outstanding I had some of the new Goodyear Asymmetric 2's (German made) on my last car and were hands down some of the best tyres I've had esp in the wet is when they really shone out and have one of the highest reviews from www.tyrereviews.co.uk (94%).....BUT lil more pricey but will last you 40K if you aren't drifting in them
  16. Had a chat to Carl at E&H and he runs with endless pad in his WRX race car and said he was getting awesome wear and results outa them so going to give them a go, not sure which ones he uses yet tho so will update
  17. Go from Achilles to semi slicks... won't know what hit ya...dot it!
  18. Think I'll try some good endless or go all out and spend 500 and try pagid yellows (wallet goes and hides in corner) and post as to how they were
  19. Had really poor ventilation so wore out really fast once over heated and didn't bed them in well enough...lesson learnt
  20. Hey guys, trying to find a good race pad to use that won't get munted in one for two track days. Tried a mintex race pad and only last one full day at Hampton (brake killer) and one at Puke but most likely had poor brake ventilation so that have now been fixed with removing stone guards and some ducting to get cool air to rotors. Have heard good things about the Padgid yellow which is real pricey but saves you in long run as last a lot longer Rather have something that lasts longer/durable that performs awesome but lasts one track day
  21. 251wKw (Simon C's old car) http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a285/simon_chong/Dyno.jpg
  22. Thread has been quiet a while.. Puke over Easter 1.09.5 was best time
  23. Yeah brakes aren't too flash hot atm courtesy of our mutual friend who had the car all of like 2 months lol. Gona have to buy new rotors for front and pads on rear and might look at some braided lines etc
  24. STI conversion imo... make it easier down the line when you get stung by the "need more modifications bug"
  25. Didn't have anyone timing me sorry but towards the end was following a guy each time I went out and we were neck and neck and he was getting 1.19 and high 1.18. I was also only on the Conti's (hides) as wasn't sure of the weather day out so didn't put semi slicks on so Id expect a few seconds off again once i get them on and still learning how the car likes to go around corners (flat stick seemed to work nicely with the back hanging out haha)
