  1. Hi all, what hub should I be looking for to swap out on my 2001 B4 tt [now single] to allow for brembo fitment ON REAR? internal diameter of new REAR rotor hat size is 190mm? Bolt to bolt distance on the new REAR caliper appears to be 110mm. Can anyone advise what rear Subaru Hub I need? The fronts were a straight bolt up. cheers
  2. your engine is way tooo sexy, nice. I\'m pretty sure I have v4 heads, shim under bucket. [[if that makes sense] I\'m pulling the engine now. I have established that BC\'s wont fit my cams, so working on a solution. My issue is that after stroking and forging to 2.4 the engine is way to laggy for me [this is a tt conversion- so I guess i\'m not gonna get the tt pull down low but......] although producing 420 whp with boost to spare. [clutch is now fried however thanks to my son- after much research I believe I have the soln here- autoclutch] so to help the laggy issue now hunting down the gears and squeezing the heads up to achieve a better spool up. luv scooby\'s but much to learn- i am doing it by trial and error lol
  3. cheers, great help. Can you tell from the pic what version I have. The actual engine build was done by the shop and i have basically done the nuts and bolts, pulling the engine, replacing etc. project managing. My actual knowledge of the versions etc is limited, according to the invoice the builder sold me ported v4/5 sti heads shim under bucket. Does that make sense?
  4. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zrtqflc5oxhbklg/DSCF1300.JPG i\'m really not sure, link to an image of heads pasted above, manifold is custom- std manifold it wasn\'t going to fit anyway due to the block head combo.
  5. Are you saying BC8860 will not fit? I have v4/5 heads with ported a kennelly grind married to an older closed deck block, running G4 link? What about Jun? Will these present the same mounting problem? thanks for yr help
  6. Can anyone help advise where to get adjustable cam gears? Looking for Brian Crower BC8860 or equivalent part. BC are out of stock, apparently for months.
  7. I have not driven a 6 speed but gotta say I luv the ratios in the 5 speed, the box feels strong although the shift is a bit long, thats on the list to deal to and the 5 speed boxes are cheap as chips. not exactly sure what crank car aid used but it was told it was a small journal crank- Engine builders and Racefab told me i\'d need to go to twinplate- looks like they are right. link to pic of crankshaft below.https://www.dropbox.com/s/glooc3yy5zuwm32/DSCF1232%20%282%29.JPG
  8. Yup- Rob helped out with custom intake, twisted setup and mandrel bent 3 inch all the way thru. He did a great job, highly recommend his work. NZEFI did a g4 install and tune. https://www.dropbox.com/s/l3ht2xdt4c9n3x3/scooby.jpg Turbo care with the turbo, Car aid ChCh with the engine.
  9. This project all up and running now but have clutch slip at high hp. Can anyone tell me the part number excedy twin plate for this setup. 2001 B4 tt turned st, older closed deck block married to existing 5 speed box. I think the excedy part is FM12SD, can anyone confirm?
  10. Can anyone help with these settings for Flywheel and Clutch assembly? I note the settings posted in the replies to post by Jords for version 4 wrx gc8, Will these apply to B4? Also crank Pulley settings?
  11. I don't want top mount and flip. I need to retain aircon. I thought top mount might be an option and makes transplant to later model scooby easier but dont know if larger vol tm will achieve the whp? Your comment re Eagle scares me a bit. The Engine was built by the engine builder with clear objectives stated. what sort of rods should I have gone with? The car won't be thrashed, occasional track session possible.
  12. Hi Guys, I have a project to share and question re retaining Aircon with flipped manifold. Does anyone know of a way to go flipped and retain aircon? The project is a completed EJ20 bored and sleeved to 2.4, closed deck and forged internals, worked heads, cams...all the usual, Turbocare Mitsubishi TD06. Next step is to decide the Manifold, Intercooler, Water-Meth injection scenarios. ECU will be link. Some images of the build posted here. No way I am losing the aircon, this is primarily a daily drive. Anybody done a larger volume top mount and achieving 450whp? http://www.facebook.com/#!/media/set/?set=a.395152603881497.99369.133698066693620&type=1 Appreciate any ideas. thanx.
  13. Planning a transplant to closed deck, worked internals and worked cams, about to start next week. Problem is took my bros Holden R8 for a drive and he gets similar horses for normally aspirated.
