I'm really keen on some rotas for my BH Wagon, scared they only look good on sedans though

What suspension are you running? And did you have to roll the guards?

BC Gold adjusties & the rear guards are rolled, front have just been adjusted slightly.

Any with experience know if I would get away with these on BH5 wagon with low springs?

Currently stock height but with rims like these I imagine I would want a little more stance

Getting the guards rolled isn't an issue

  2. If you have a sub/amp in the boot and a highpass crossover on your headunit you can easily get away with ignoring the McIntosh amp and just powering the speakers off your headunit - doing that at the moment and it sounds better than my old aftermarket setup

  3. Well, this was yesterday, but I cleaned out the interior of my car and took it to Mad Soundz Tauranga to have a 4 gauge amp kit run through to the boot of the wagon.

I have always run my own kits but this car is far too nice for me to risk screwing anything up - cost me $160 all up to get 4 gauge and RCAs/power control run, along with my amp controller which they put through the centre console and affixed in a nice position with double sided tape. Very nice having amplified speakers and subs in the boot again.

Next was to set up my $18 trademe mount for my tablet - I wasn't sure that it would be any good but as it turns out it isn't that flimsy at all, and mounted so the bottom support rests on the edge of the dash (so it doesn't scratch though) means a tight and secure fit. It sits at a really good height too, the tablet bottom sits just above the centre vents and I can see over and around the tablet when its in easy as.

Here's a pic - should I get pulled over I will quickly switch to google maps ; p

  4. Cops everywhere last night looking for someone, searching cars and taxis and everything, stopped in at the servo and cars went screaming past, chased them up Cameron rd and came across this.

Excuse the missus' crap 'holding the tablet still' technique - two face down in hand cuffs and one sitting up in handcuffs

Dog is the best security device around keep it near the car and you're golden.

What cracks me up is on the honda forums talk of getting violent is met with responses like yeah then you can be buddys in jail on your GBH charge.

Which is bothering stupid, only a moron smashs the hell out of some little bitch thief then acts surprised when they get charged, the trick is to bother them up then hurt yourself in front of them and claim they did it and you acted in self defense when the cops turn up.

Have some assault with your b&e botherhead >:(

    Tell ya what mate...

I will take the assult charge. If someone wants to have a crack at my s*** i'm gonna go in swinging...

No doubt about it I think most people would, I'm just saying when you do it, you know there's a chance you can get done too.

Hence my previous statement, make sure you are both injured even if theirs is a lot more serious : D

WASTE OF MONEY... $100 for wof recheck from VTNZ, then u gotta fix whatever the dudes find thats wrong, and trust me, VTNZ are picky as!!! i had a 4cm rip in the drivers seat with a little bit of foam stickin out LOL and they said I had to fix that, sew it up then I can get the wof. WTF hahahahah,

All could have been avoided if that cop just left you/us alone.

Its not that, its that VTNZ are generally known for sticking to the guidelines and doing everything by the book. So when things that aren't up to scratch come along that another mechanic may choose to ignore or miss completely they generally pick them up.

Remember all they do is check vehicles, hence they know what they are looking for.
