  1. So there\'s no major difference between the NZ release and jap import ones? Do they all come with adjustable tophats or are they at request?
  2. Hi all, Looking at upgrading my current suspension (factory sti struts with dobi springs) to some aftermarket adjustables. Looking to purchase second hand if possible as I don\'t have a lot of funds. Is there any major differences between the Tein Super Street & HA suspension platforms? What\'s Cusco like as a brand in comparison to Teins? Does anyone have any adjustable suspension that they\'re looking to get rid of? Thanks all
  3. Did you end up selling the rims matey? Might be interested if your still keen to sell. Cheers.
  4. I'm currently using a Link G3 LEM upgraded with G4 firmware and a v3-4 adapter link to plug into the factory wiring harness. Its currently setup on my v3 sti gf8 wagon however if I was to change it over to the v4 98 coupe I'm assuming it should be sweet?
  5. Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone happens to know if there is any difference in pinouts between a 96 Subaru Impreza sti v3 gf8 wagon and a 98 Subaru wrx sti type R coupe? They both have 3 plug harnesses into the ecu just wanted to know if all the input/outputs were the same. Anybody happen to have any technical drawings of the pinouts and there labelling of the input/outputs? Thanks everyone Cheers macca
  6. Hi everyone, Does anyone know if all power steering pump/tank assemblies use the same mounting points? I'm looking to swap out my existing square type tank for a round in order to mount my ICV for my reversed manifold setup. Is there any pro's & con's for swapping between the two? Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers macca
  7. Let me think...lol Garrett GT3082R with antisurge drilling Sard 800cc Injectors Front Mount Sard Pressure Reg Tial 44mm V-band wastegate wiseco pistons eagle rods Link G3 with upgraded G4 firmware 3" exhaust 5 Bar MAP sensor etc etc etc I'm running into issues now with the engine breathing lol time for upgraded cams and adjustable cam gears, and the turbo's kinda at its limit with regards to boost, so hopefully when i do the cams & gears I should be able to lower the boost but sustain my current power level on the open deck block. Going closed deck I'd like to achieve 500Hp atw if possible
  8. I'm currently still running my factory open deck block on my v3, putting out 430Hp atw. Still running factory case bolts from memory and ARP head studs. As I want more power I thought it would be a good time to do a closed deck option with rear thrust crank, use all my existing wiseco pistons, eagle rods, heads, etc, etc an hopefully this will make a nice strong motor
  9. Thanks funky, I was looking at going to ARP case bolts, is it a must or will the factory bolts be fine? I was under the impression factory bolts had to be replaced once the block was broken??
  10. Cheers funky, is it relatively easy to get the 3rd or 5th position machined? Anyone got a rough idea of how much it would cost to get this machined? Apart from machining the thrust position and re-honing the cylinders for new pistons, is there any other prep required for assembling with forged pistons & rods? Cheers everyone for your replies!! macca
  11. Hey guys, Just a very quick question, is there any difference between a 89 RS Legacy or GT BF5 block? Also I see in one of the previous threads that people prefer using a rear thrust crank instead of the factory centre thrust as its better suited for heavier aftermarket clutch assemblies, if this is the case where can you find a rear thrust crank? Thanks heaps macca
