I don't know but I wonder if that may be it. Will check that I tightened that properly...

After reading Marky's post, I tweaked the actuator rod on the ECV, and it was well toite, toiter than a Tiger even.
It took 3 1/2 full turns to get it to rattle, which would explain why it was being a big goofy on transition, so we'll see if its better tomorrow morning.
Also did the hose mod, to we'll see if that helps as well.
Eagerly awaiting your findings buddy boy

Wut - smoke? Coming out where?
Also oil feed, your car won't have it I thought
Weeeel the smoke was coming out the bonnet scoop and I could smell burning oil. It was on the primary side but didn't really look like it was from the snail. No whines have developed except from me when I saw said smoke and that was more of a groan anyway. Only thing I've done recently is take the I/C off And I ask about oil feed 'cos everyone keeps saying the banjo bolt filter gets clogged and starves the turbo of oil....????
-
Has anyone ever had smoke come out from intercooler after taking it off and putting it back on? And should I remove the filter from the oil feed banjo bolt? Cheers

0000 grade steel wool removes rain spots on glass fantastically well. Just make sure you get all the fragments of steel wool off later or you end up with little rust spots on your paint. Also Jif is fantastic for cleaning headlights

So to dig up an old thread, can anyone tell me if it is A. fine to remove this filter and B. how hard is this to do on a BE twin turbo?
-
Lol I'll give it a go and you should be prepared for a text my man lol

I like all of this EXCEPT the idea of fiddling with the ECV rod. Me being me I'll F it up

Nice if any thing more comes up about it I'll post here

There is a possibility of a cruise up to Hanmer happening sometime soon?? Keep your eyes on this, someone will put up details if/when it happens lol

Lol I really really want to Dave! Things I must get done to the B4 this year are get bumper painted and fitted, get spare wheels powder coated and then everything else can wait so I can go to flat nats. Oh and get Nolathane rear diff bushes (hint hint)
-
Far better idea Thanks Marky

Fixed broken cup holder toadying centre console. Most BE/BHs I've seen this is broken. Turns out to be pretty easy to fix

Unfortunately I couldn't find any 10mm wide hose clamps. Not a great fan of zip ties everywhere but after cut down and the lock part rotated backwards it just looks like a black band on red hose. Cheers though

Have just bought phenolic spacers for the B4. Is it worth doing manifold port and polish whilst it's off? Cheers
