Any description on the forum or that you have on removing the bumper?
Not that hard and fairly straightforward, see if this help A few how-to's will pop up if you search on Google.

Do not really understand what you really gain by swapping standard bulbs with LED in case of brake lights.
Brighter overall (especially in daylight) - questionable.
Improve/modernise appearance - how? Still a single source of light in the same housing.
I totally get it when people want to LED their parking lights as those look massively outdated with incandescent bulbs.

Finally switched to non-runflat tyres. What a change, transformed the car significantly!
245/35/20 at the front and 275/30/20 at the rear. Did not realise how massive 275/30 look when off a rim...
Would highly recommend Tyretech on Archers road for those in Auckland. Very competitive prices and good service.

Called in to Armstrong this morning and they won't replace under the recall.
Surprise-surprise.
Could've been a number of different revisions of the same part and not all of them fall under a recall campaign.

If I ever went to duals i’d track down a set of Prova Fujitsubo ones, much more understated than other options out there. Think @sobanoodle had a set at one point.
I did indeed. Super subtle.
And super rare.

2. When I lift the rear hatch after some rain, water pours out of the internals of the hatch. Is this a common issue? What should I replace to seal it up?
4. The rear red plastic lens on the hatch between the tail lights is cracked. Where or who can I get a replacement?
Use some window sealant when you install a new garnish. All around the garnish, won't be noticeable if you are careful enough. Otherwise it'll be leaking anyway as foamy factory seals get hard and let water through.

Any brands that is more suggested then others?
I am a big fan of HKS and Fujitsubo but new bits are expensive or out of production already and used are fairly hard to come by.
Kakimoto are on a louder side due to smaller cannons.
STI Genomes... do not get me started
@Andy_Mac got Invidia set-up on his, not sure if they do "mufflers only" option though.

Thanks Sobanoodle! When you talk aftermarkets, are you talking full system from the manifold or just new piping and tips from the cat box?
If you just want it to be a bit more vocal then a pair of aftermarket mufflers will satisfy your cravings. These are in most cases a simple bolt-on application, no chopping/welding/fiddling required.
Alterations to the factory set up in form of muffler/resonator deletes usually result in raspiness and drone at cruising speed which you really want to avoid if you're a

Ok, next up is to get some rumble from my GT.
Can anyone recommend anyone in the Wellington area to get the cat box removed and fit a straight pipe?
Or would removing the interals of the cat be enough to get a nice rumble?
You won't get any rumble out of it no matter what you do (unless you're prepared to do some serious modifications).
Removing mid-section resonator is a bad idea.
Bashing out the cat converter is a better one, but won't gain you that much noise-wise.
Upgrading to an aftermarket set-up will improve the situation but then again you will NOT get the old-school rumble you're aiming for

Just to clarify - search by a part number still works, no issues with that.
Search by a chassis number and Subaru catalogues are broken. In fact, Subaru is not even in the list anymore.
Browse through catalogues elsewhere and then use part numbers to search/buy on Partsouq.
-
Partsouq is stuffed.
http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/en_b13/ is also good.

The rest appears to be correct

May as well hijack this I'm pretty certain mine is a spec b.
Can you confirm your chassis number?
Comes up as black for some reason
-
Pre-face spec.B had Bilsteins and alloy suspension components from factory (i.e control arms) unlike standard versions of GT and 3.0, 18" alloys obviously.
GT
GT Spec.B
Facelift on the other hand all came with Bilsteins and alloy arms.
NB: talking about JDM here

Yours is a preface Spec.B.
Well at least the bumper and the grille.

Nothing special for an '08 really, standard equipment.
Some photos would be helpful.

Sell what you have and buy ver 11 wrx/sti seats to make it a bolt-on experience.

Adaptive LED headlights and ability to parallel park itself. Handy for those tight city spots.

What would you need a remote start for? In NZ at least.

All your questions had already been answered in the original thread - take a moment and read through it.
Keyless won't be a straight plug and play and you will have to run some wires.

Yea agree without a doubt on that being the cause of the shudder. Wouldnt think the shudder could be causing the knock though
I'd back up Loren and say that some tired bushings or something loose will cause the knock.
My BR9 came with warped stock discs and was shaking madly when braking from around 110/115 down to a hundred. Passenger seat (when vacant) would be jumping all over the place, rather embarrassing

Then realised its a facelift grill
It's not.
Facelift grilles are similar in height to pre-face spec.B and are all the same size across the whole range.
Pre-face come in a bunch of different sizes.

Hi Sobanoodle,
I have a 5th Gen Legacy GT and I really want to install CC in it. I see you mention that it's not as easy as plug in play for the 5th gens. Any chance you know of a guide for my car? I have been unable to find one, only 4th gen and different models..
I'm planning on buying the OEM steering wheel buttons but unsure what else I'd need
Similar to the late 4th gens - won't be a straight retrofit and you will need to run a few wires for the ECU. Definitely been done, google is your friend.

Pretty much yep, bloody hated the runflats.
Went from Dunlop GT to Dunlop 050+. Didn't want to donate a kidney for a set of Michelins and decided not to go with RE003.
