  1. When it accelerates the turbo starts to spoil and then dies out and goes all stuttery The boost gauge only gets upto 3/4 pounds boost then starts cutting out. I am running a version 3 ECU, Yellow Injectors, Orange AFM and Single coil pack with ignitors, and a TD05 Was when first started but now only a little
  2. hi I have sorted this issue - the crank sensor wires had split and were touching each other which was causing the pulse feed to go where ever. Now my spark works thanks for everyones help
  3. I have finally sorted out my spark problem - I have done a conversion from twin turbo to single turbo. Everything is running mint except every time I accelerate my cadilac converter light comes on and then disappears only at idle, when it comes into boost the light comes on and wont boost properly - does anyone know what could be causing this - I don not have a cadilac converter. I have checked for any loose wires under the passenger seat as recommended but to no avail - some other person told me you could wire these 2 wires together to solve this problem - but what 2 wires and where are they located on the twin turbo loom and does this sound correct or not?
  4. I have virtually no pulse feed coming out of my computer to my ignitor - what could be causing the computer to have this issue - I have tried 2 different computers with the same problem reoccurring on both. I had a burnt out mobiliser in my alarm system so I have removed the immobiliser and re-wired back to factory- but seems like I am missing some type of power to the computer - does anyone know what wire that goes into the computer that powers the pulse signal or what would be casing the low pulse signal. I think something is not powering the computer right so ive got no spark to my coil packs. Thanks in advance
  5. Ive got 2 plugs on my fire wall which each plug has 2 wires - these are not connected and don\'t know where they go to. I also have 1 plug on manifold loom by the earth strap which has 2 wires - one is yellow with a red tracer and the other is black - these also are not connected to anything. - I know from other experience from other cars - they have a link wire from some plugs like that - is this the case?
  6. Okay - I have the 12v feed, at the ignitors and re checked all my grounding points. Any other ideas much appreciated - is there a way I can check if the actual signal is getting from the ecu to the ignitor? Also have 12volt feed at coil.
  7. I have 2 wires that have power to the ignitor - but the 2 wires from ecu to ignitor don\'t. What does this mean?
  8. thanks fo0r the help so - ok I will check my grounding points... umm how do I check if there is a signal from the ecu ?
  9. I have converted my twin turbo rs legacy to a single turbo conversion. Did have car up and running on a version 3 sti computer. I cleaned under the bonnet 6 months and since have no spark to coil packs but have a 12 volt feed at the coil pack. - I\'ve since replaced coil packs, ignitor and ecu computer in case being damaged from water. I have tried 2 different computers, 2 different coil packs and several different ignitors - trying to find out if there is any relays or something else that could cause this problem before I have to seek an auto electrician at a very expensive cost. Any help or ideas very much appreciated - thanks in advance ;D
  10. Cool, thanks but it doesn\'t have a cat in it no more, hasn\'t had for years
  11. ??? I not sure if the two are linked (dash icon and problem) but..... This icon has appeard on my dash, and now it flashes up when i accelerate and as soon as i go to excelerate the car lags out. This is a twin turbo conversion to single turbo. Sorry, cant work out how to insert the picture but it looks a bit like this -{} but horizontal and with 4/5 dashs above it, I have tried to google but not getting very far
  12. HI All Hoping to get some help, I am at the end of my Twin turbo to single turbo conversion and am fixing the last bits. But one of my biggest problems is i have no boost. I have a RS 96 3 plug ECU which has now been converted to a V3 ECU. Running a aftermarket twisted turbo and external wastegate, the car runs mint at idle, revs up to 3.5 - 4 then starts to stuttle then back fires our the exhaust and turbo tries to spool but cuts out. Does anyone know how to fix this or ideas please. Thanks In Advance ???
  13. Hi all, i'm in a dilemma and not sure what ecu i need, Im converting my twin turbo legacy (got a 4g ecu) to a single turbo wrx sti - came with a sc chipped ecu, my problem is the 4g is a 3 plug and the sc is a 4 plug.... is there a ecu that i can use thats 3 plug that will run this engine in my legacy without me having to re wire the car?
  14. My partner said he would say it is the airflow preassure sensor to the computer.
