  1. I have yet to come across anything that can keep up while pulling down the motorway on secondary in 5th......til I hit speed-cut LOL
  2. Same goes for my TT wagon....may not have the take off, but makes catching up easy, especially down the motorway haha love the secondary pull
  3. LOL I shall now call my TT wagon the Harlem Shake lol, brilliant.
  4. Yup, agree there, st ftw! Lol will be relooming and converting the wagon once engine decides to pop (226kms and counting) Thinking about going back to factory bov, as was thinking that the bov contributed to the problem. Bloody temperamental tt Suby lol. The one I have is nice and tight, set reasonably hard (flutters at low boost haha) but I read that dumping the boost, rather then recirculating it as factory one does, doesn\'t help with the idle once dropping the revs.
  5. Each to their own, rather the older tt motors lol mine still goes bloody well, keeps up with alot of cars that it shouldn\'t lol
  6. Yea I hear ya, im leaving mine basically stock. Have only done manual conversion, mines chipped ecu (came with conversion) walbro pump, bh downpipes and full exhaust, pod filter and atmo dumping bov. That\'s engine wise. Thinking of going to a recirculating bov, or back to factory, as I hear the atmo bovs aren\'t the best. Also have bigger turbos but thinking of just leaving turbos as is.

  8. The Eagle F1 Directional 5 is a very good tyre, can handle some abuse. I do tyres for a living, and all the holdens and fords that come in usually go for the Eagles. Unless they are cheap bastards and go for crap hiflys for something. GT Radial have an awesome new tyre out now though, the UHP1. Manager done a track day on them, and said they stick to the road like shit to a blanket. And as they are still new, most places with have them on special. Ask around for prices, as they are well worth the money.
  9. I agree with MercuryFree, Achilles are shit, for want of a better word. I run Maxtrek Injens A1 tyres on my wagon, bloody good tyre for the money. Haven\'t had a problem at all with them
  10. Figured that lol. Fixed the first problem, replaced on of the plugs, and fastened filter properly, no more issue there. Just the occasional low idle/stalling when clutching in
  11. Yea was thinking that, obviously lol. Ripped pump back out just before and replaced the upper plug in the cradle that connects to the pump. While at it, noticed the fuel filter sock had fallen off the pump (lost the clip, didn\'t think much of it, have now fastened it properly, so won\'t be coming off in a hurry, touch wood lol) Would the filter coming off play any part in the situation?
  12. Hey all, little problem. I have a tt gt legacy wagon. Not long replaced the fuel pump with a new walbro. Since then, every now and then it won\'t go. If I give the plug on top a wiggle or wee bang, then it fires back up, no probems. I have switched the pump cradle, as I thought it may have been a faulty plug, but it still does it. I\'m now a tad puzzled, as you\'d imagine. Also, occasionally when I clutch in at lights, or slowing down, reversing etc, the car tries to stall/idles low. Have had a read, and am leaning towards o2 sensor. Wondering if any other ideas were out there. Cheers in advance for any help
  13. I have a mint upgrade pair of turbos that would suit your needs I was under the impression that if your primary was blown, then it would run like a bag of sh*t and not boost at all. My bg5a primary turbo isn\'t quiet when it spools, but it\'s healthy as. You won\'t feel anything from the turbo at idle, as no boost is being made (will show vacuum on idle on a boost gauge up until a certain point) My wagon seems to be a little hesitant on primary turbo if I put my foot up it from low rpm, then boom, away she goes. I put that down to plugs/coils.
  14. Cheers for the reply Just ran some upper engine cleaner through. First test drive showed proper boost. Will take for proper drive tonight and report back. Only vacuum line i\'ve touched has been line 11 for the boost gauge. Wiped the cel code, hasn\'t come back since.
  15. Cheers Marky, one of the only people to reply to my posts lol. I\'m going to run some upper engine cleaner this week. Hopefully sorts the problems.
  16. Hey sub lovers, got a problem.... Car was running mint, boosting 10-12psi primary, 15-16 secondary. Re-installed boost gauge (had to remove it when doing manual conversion, as was running through the clutch mount on the fire-wall) and since then the car (95 bg5a gt wagon) hasn\'t been idling right. Unhooked gauge, still done it, re-fitted the gauge with new line and tee, and problem still there (tee\'d into line 11) Sometimes it\'s good, sometimes it dies, or goes to die, when clutching it, or slowing down to a stop. Thought it was AFM, so switched it, and the problem persists + starting boosting at 7psi primary and secondary. Switched AFM back, and both problems still there!! Occasionally it will boost normal, but more often only running the 7psi. Checked CEL and came up with 45, I cleared the ecu and the code has gone, but still a problem (need to take for proper run again admittedly) Any ideas??? Also, where is the pressure exchange solenoid, and the pressure sensor?
  17. Yea they are on Trademe. Thought they were VF33/VF32s, but have since realized they are VF26/VF27. Have corrected the auction. **EDIT** The secondary has VF27 scribed on the tag, the primary has nothing on the tag, but they both came off a mint running lows kms 98 bh gtb motor
  18. **Update: Realized after a bit more research that they were in fact the VF26/VF27 combo, rather then the VF33/VF32 combo I earlier believed them to be. Would these do a better job? From what I have read they would, but can\'t believe everything you read online lol
  19. Will anything need to be modified? Or will everything line up nicely? Cant tell physical size difference etc, with my current ones still in the car lol. But then it\'ll be dyno time, doing that. Hmmmm
  20. Cheers for that. Been told ya can remove restrictor pill and run a mbc place to get a consistent flow through both turbos (mate has done something like this to his bg5b) But ebc would be the way to go. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated
  21. Hey folks. Just wondering, I have a 95 gt wagon, current mods are - mines chipped ecu, bh legacy downpipes to full exhaust, pod filter, and bov (engine-wise) I\'m still running the factory turbos. I ended up with a mint pair of bh gt-b turbos (vf33/vf32 I think) Can these be bolted up without hassles and actually do anything? Or should I stick with my factory combo and sell these bh ones on? Cheers in advance
  22. Also one more thing, if they did tweak the boost, does that show straight away, or do I need a boost controller to up the boost to the tuned level? If you understand that lol
  23. Cheers for that. Seems to do the job a lot better then the factory unit, so no complaints there. Glad I stuck with it.
  24. Sorry for pulling up an old thread, but conversion is easy with these wagons. Mine was done completely in 6 hours, passed a wof easy (check lvvta guidelines, factory bits used so legal). Just cost extra $120 for auto sparky to rewire reverse light and sort inhibitor.
  25. Cheers for that. Yea, I\'ve decided to keep it. The car is running sweet with it. Boosts hard as. Now I\'ve got to put my mint BH turbos on and I\'ll be away laughing. Walbro pump went in tonight. Things coming along nicely
