  1. I have 55 options I can select but don\'t have Knocking Correction, Atmosphere Pressure, Differential Pressure Sensor Voltage, Manifold Relative Pressure, either of the wastegates (understandable since my car is n/a), Fuel Pump Duty, either of the Relief Valve Solenoids or the AT Engine Torque Request.
  2. ^^When you say the knock sensor, was that reading called the Knocking Signal #1 on FreeSSM? My just read as OFF
  3. I just had mine arrive from the stahlcar website yesterday ($65 inc postage) and the same as this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/tools-repair-kits/meters-testers/auction-568814139.htm. Seems to work fine on my BE5 (which is a 2000 so def not a rev D). Only issue I\'ve had is the software crashing when it lost it\'s connection to the ECU (not sure why). Still managed to read an old error code (and clear it), I can look at loads of different readings and I\'m sure I could have changed a few engine management setting but didn\'t want to mess with stuff I don\'t know about just yet. System tests didn\'t seem to be available for my car.
  4. ^^^Awesome, just ordered one of those. Now to install windows on my macbook :-\
  5. I read somewhere that the RevD was obd2 compliant but don\'t know if that\'s true or not
  6. Dammit! I was really looking forward to that... I guess this might be the guy http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/tools-repair-kits/meters-testers/auction-568814139.htm
  7. I bought a cheap OBD2 scan tool off eBay and I have the Torque android app but Torque doesn\'t seem to be able to connect to the ECU of my 2000 Legacy B4. Anyone know why that might be or if it is even possible on my car?? Cheers!
  8. I\'m just about to do an upper engine clean on my N/A B4 but I\'m just not sure of the best place to inject the cleaner. The can says to \'remove a convenient vacuum hose from the intake manifold\' but I can\'t see an obvious one to remove... Would it be better or easier to remove the pipe coming from the air filter and spray in in through the throttle body? Here\'s a pic of my engine to give you an idea of what I\'m looking at... Thanks for your help!
  9. thanks, did you use plastic bags or some other way?
  10. I\'m about to install component speakers in the from of my B4, anyone have a recommendation for where to put the crossover and how to attach it? Cheers!
  11. Thanks! They\'re resealing just down the road so that\'s make sense! I\'ll go take a look in a minute
  12. It only happens when moving so probably not a belt and doesn\'t happen in reverse. Also only happens between 0-35 km/h and goes away after a few hundred metres. I\'ve recorded what it sounds like from inside the car and posted it in the youtube clip below. (pictures are just me messing round when I first bought my Legacy) Anyone have an idea what might be causing this? Cheers!
  13. Thanks a lot! I didn\'t realise the steering lock was part of the ignition itself. I\'ve currently got a new ignition being re-keyed at the locksmiths.
  14. I got my stolen 00 legacy back with a broken steering lock but I can\'t find any info at all in the repair manual about the steering lock. Anyone know anything or tried to fix it? Cheers!
  15. I\'ve been hunting for a new ignition for my manual BE Legacy. I\'ve seen ignitions advertised for the auto model but is there actually any difference? or could I use one anyway? Cheers!
  16. Anyone have an idea how easy it would be to find a full replacement set for a BE5? Any idea of what they would usually be called would be great too!! Thanks!
  17. yeah I\'m not holding out much hope, it did have a couple of new tyres on it so that might give me some idea of how it\'s been treated
  18. Yup, I feel kinda weird about it but will go have a look anyway I think... it had only done 67km, be interested to see what they put on it in a month
  19. Just got a call from the Porirua police - they found a guy driving it a few days ago! Already had the insurance payout but may get a chance to buy it back...
  20. I wouldn\'t have thought so, they seemed pretty cool/straight up
  21. Just had my first Subaru stolen after only owning it a week! Gutted. It\'s a silver Legacy B4 non-turbo, totally stock and (was) in fantastic condition. Rego: FKJ40 Any help or if you can keep an eye out would be much appreciated! Cheers Brian
