Well I'm not chasing loads of power but rather a few good upgrades and a retune to suit them. I have built a 2door WRX from the ground up and followed the international legacy forums closely. It would be a rule of thumb that up pipe, down pipe, intake and intercooler mods with a retune net you some good power and efficiency gains. So if a WRX cooler won't adapt what NZ options are around for a bigger top mount core to suit the legacys? (I will add an electric fan to ditch the heat soak)

I'm looking to upgrade me top mount and I'm finding it difficult to get something to suit my 2005 GT (I live in CHCH) how much work is involved in modifying a wrx aftermarket top mount to suit my 05GT legacy???

Um... Thanks...I think? Does anyone know if they are the same flange off the twin scroll turbo as the vf and td series turbos? At least then it's just a case I'd matching the other end up?

Does anyone know if the down pipes off the old gen legacys will fit up to the BP models? Trying to sorce a good down pipe for my 2005 GT in chch...

Iv recently got my grubby little hands on a 2005 GT and the clutch feel is terrible and the flywheel is obviously heavy as hell (going by feel) how can I find out if I have or dont have one of those-evil-in-every-way dual mass jobs???

Is yours a three colour/foam hybrid piece?

does this effect Gen 4's? ie 2005?

Have just purchased an HKS foam air filter and after a clean I am told they need re oiling. I figure oils are oils aye so for this application what is a good cheap oil that could do the trick well? ;D Im also told that less oil is more with filters as any excess can clog flow sensors right?

Does anyone know where in christchurch to do an ECU reflash for 2005 GT's? I am doing a few simple mods, intake, exhaust and TMIC upgrade and have been informed that I will really need to remap my ECU.

just got a 2005 GT and before I bought it I found out a few nifty bits of info bout GT and the GT B specs... -Manual B specs are 50KG heavier overall than a manual GT with identical engine setup and suspension, this means that they are slower and dont handle as well :-) -GT's are 5mm lower than the B spec (due to the B specs 18" rims) -B specs have a sunroof that lowers the overall head space by around 40mm which is enough for me to have my head touching it (im 6F4 though) and making back seat passengers over 6f2 rub) BUT the factory rims are cool as on the Bspec. dont know re ESC sorry. that could be of benefit though.

Does taking out the middle muffler and cat make the gen 4's loud/ugly noisy? It all looks pretty restrictive under there to me and I want to be able to hear some kind of engine sound! On that note what are the standard upgrade mods for pulling a couple more ponnies out of the later model legacy's???

Hey guys, what is the largest wheel/rubber you can run on a 2005 legacy? Also do older subaru rims fit up well??? what is the 2005 offset? thanks!

I have just purchased a 2005 Legacy and the previous owner had a GPS stuck on the top of the dash board. It has left a bunch of sticky gunk on the dash. What is a good product that will remove sticky pads without damaging the dash board?

Your not derailing the thread at all!!! Great info for me thanks :-) but I still need a replacement bush! because of the poor quality of the factory bush who in chch does a good aftermarket one???

Apparently not because the guys at compliance said they fail subarus all the time on these bushes, even on subs with less than 20thousand clicks on the dial!!!

When you say you DIY'ed them before did you hammer them out? Press them in a vice? How did you get the bushes out of the lower arms? Thanks
