  1. Yeah all good, like i said each to there own. Ive already got plenty of interest in it, and only had it listed for a week so it will be sold regardless. I use to be like you and would only ever drive manuals, And like yourself would always be like.... ohhh dam its a auto, but then when i got my first auto subaru wagon back in the day and used it as my daily i liked them more than manuals for day to day driving as i could just relax and drive to work etc, i mean have you tried eating a pie in a manual? much easier in a auto! haha But all good, thanks for your comment.
  2. and i have a performance car that isn\'t STI also, but if you want a wagon for cruising then who cares if its manual or auto, as its just for cruising, ive owned many performance cars, and yes if i am purely looking for performance and using on track etc id go manual every time. But if i want something for open road driving and going to the beach etc with good performance id go auto/tiptronic everytime. But each to there own, you enjoy your MANUAL performance family wagon and ill enjoy mine. haha
  3. manual, tiptronic, doesn\'t really matter when its a gtb family wagon, end of the day if your buying a family wagon you want it to be practical with the performance, so if your buying a family wagon for just performance then you may as well buy a STI, not a gtb.
  4. Or you could buy mine, with a fresh engine rebuild, gt-b spec and some nice mods, new 19inch mags and tyres, and slightly lowered too. Drives mint and looks nice too. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=666965104
  5. awesome!! Just found it, was hidden under a plastic panel. Thanks heaps!
  6. Turns out that you can just order in bc golds with adjustable camber plates for both front and rear, so looks like bc golds is the winner for me.
  7. d2 coilovers are a waste of time as you can no longer get them certified due to how they have been made. So whats the point in even selling them? As for bc golds, does anyone know how hard it is to swap the top hats over so you have camber on the back instead of the front? is it just a straight swap or do you have to do some modifications ? As i dont really need camber for the front just the rear.
  8. yeah ive always had bc golds and never had problems with them, but the hsd sounds like a good set up especially if your wanting camber adjustment in front and rear, the question is.... is it worth the risk if they turn out not to be as good.
  9. Hey guys, I have a v10 sti and was wondering what coilovers to fit, I have owned bc golds in the past and found them to be a great ride, however they only have front camber adjustable where as the HSD comes with both front and rear which i like the sound of as i am wanting to fit a more aggressive mag (18x10 30p) So am concerned that without camber adjustment on the back i may struggle to fit comfortable. Any suggestions or pros and cons of the two would be appreciated
  10. Hey guys dont know much about the v10 STI, i prefer the look over the bug eye and the v8s and 9s. But is there much difference in performance and handling or is it pretty much the same except different lights etc. And do you think its a good buy at 20k?
  11. Yeah i messaged him asking why hes claiming it is cam chain, and if its cambelt i would want the 100,000 service done before purchasing Never heard back from him tho. So ill take my money elsewhere i think. Thanks for answering my question guys.
  12. Oh thanks for that. So what this person on trademe says about there car is false i take it then.? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=646370192
  13. Hey guys Does anyone know if the v11 wrx wagons running the 2.5 turbo have a cam chain instead of a cambelt? As i was looking at one for sale which has done 98,000km, the seller says it doesn\'t need cambelt replaced as they run a cam chain?? I thought only the 2012 onwards was cam chain? Any help would be greatful.
  14. Ill go buy a boost gauge and connect it up. I just brought a auto gauge wrx bov, designed for v7 wrx onwards. Says that the bov is recommended for 10psi onwards
  15. yeah all good, will suss out how much boost im actually running, if it turns out im running more than 10psi then something must be wrong cause the bov should go off much more than what it does atm, and it says that the bov im running is for cars running 10-25psi, so if im only running 7psi that would be why it hardly goes off. Anyway cheers for your thoughts.
  16. Yeah im not 100percent sure how much psi its running, but it feels like about 10psi. Similar to my evo 7 that i had acouple years ago, I was told that the evo 7 came into the country running only 7psi as thats when the new emission laws came into place and that a simple return would wake them up. So maybe this is the case with the v7 wrx also? As for changing the set up and running different turbo etc, to be honest i would be better of just selling it and buying another sti. Case closed. lol
  17. Yeah i have checked everyone for leaks, actually stripped everything back and started from scratch. When i rev the car on idle the bov goes off pretty loud, but when im driving it doesn\'t sound like it goes off much at all, and not very responsive either? I thought it might of been the bov, so i purchased a new wrx bov to eliminate that problem but i find the same again. Im beginning to think that its just cause it doesn\'t run much boost from factory, feels like about 7-10psi, I guess im just use to driving Sti where the boost is normally at least 16psi. Would anyone recommend getting a wastegate and running 1bar on it, or you think thats to much for the wrx in standard form?
  18. Hey guys, I have a v7 wrx, stock standard, but ive noticed when i boost it doesn\'t go that hard, and the bov only goes off slightly, i have checked for leaks and tightened everything and seems fine, idles fine. I find when i put the same bov on my gtb it goes off really easy just by touching the accelerator, yet with my wrx i have to have foot to the floor and even then it just goes off, Is this normal for a v7 wrx... does anyone know what the factory boost is? as my v7 sti went much much better. Does anyone recommend just getting a external wastegate and running more boost?
  19. Hey guys, Does anyone know where you can get the right colour touch up paint for subaru blue? I have acouple of small stone chips on my car that i want to touch up but want to make sure i get the right colour
  20. Awesome, ill check it out and hopefully thats the problem. Cheers ;D
  21. Hey thanks for all the tips guys! Ill try them out and see how it goes, what is the pil you guys are talking about?
  22. Yeah I had a version 4 and all that was done was exhaust and would run 18psi, So thought it was abit weird only running 8psi.
  23. hey thanks heaps, I think it must be the boost solenoid so ill look at swapping that and hope that solves the problem, as I had a look and everything else seems to be intact. Thanks for your advise ;D ;D
