Bulb was blown, I never thought about the light not coming up untill I had a problem and need to diagnose it

it was the bulb, hopefully I can get a code tomorrow and find the problem with the boost shudder Cheers guys

I was more wondering why I didn\'t see the light at all? is it meant to show up before you start the engine like it does in other cars? Ive never seen it come up?

Iv been having an issue with my 96 wrx shuddering at full boost, i havnt had the check engine light come on but thought id check the ecu for codes. When i went to connect the black plugs they were already connected which means they have been for the past year Ive owned the car? and Ive never seen the check light? so i tried resetting the ecu by connecting the green plugs but still no luck? would i be right in thinking someone connected the black plugs causing the check light to come on and they have removed the bulb or something? Cheers

What is your radiator cap like? Dont think it should be leaking under pressure?

I had the same problem in my 96 wrx it all of a sudden would randomly not start, thought it mightve been the alarm but i jump started it and it would start straight away. i replaced my battery with a bigger 2nd hand battery i had and it has only done it 2 or 3 times in last 8 months. Not really sure what caused it though.. my volt meter reads around 11v before the car is started..

Sweet ill give it a go and update how i get on. if anyone in palmy area has a v3/4 intake manifold lying around that i can try/ buy let me know cheers

I know this has been covered before but only seems to be for v3 upwards as the v2 intake manifold seems to be to close the fire wall. has anyone done this on a v2 before? or does someone know if a later model intake manifold will bolt on that will give more room?
