  1. Dont go to vtnz, people there have no clue what theyre on about and imo shouldnt even be trusted to do wofs. I had repainted my enigne bay on my wrx to make it look mint again and after their inspection they told me it had definitely been in an accident as the engine bay is repainted. Then they told me the chassis was dented and had structural damage. Upon my own inspection it was a little stone dent on an underbody brace that was bolted to the car, not chassis damage....muppets.

Take car to a good mechanic or even a subbie specialist, someone that knows subarus is always a good start and yes can save you in the long run.

not really "to" my car, more "for" my car.

new insurance. got my policy renewal through from state, my premium had doubled.

sooo, start ringing around. NAC don't want to know because it doesnt have an "aftermarket 5 star alarm", but the factory canbus immobiliser it does have, although more effective, isnt "5 star rated"

aa insurance quoted 1490, with a 400 excess, tower and ami and wont do it for the same reason as NAC, waiting to hear back from club auto

Try classic cover here in hamilton, they do good prices but you have to insure it for use of kms i.e 5,000kms of driving per year, good if you dont use it as a daily.

  3. I just bought a 2008 legacy gt auto and its super comfy and pretty quick. Done around 300kms driving and its averaged 10.2l per 100km so pretty good bang for buck. Dont think anything else out there could compare really with regards to price and overall package.

Stock ba xr6 turbos arent hellish fast but as its been stated they have great potential....if thats what youre after.

  4. Any fabrication work id get sinco customs, well proven power results with warranty on his products. I had racefab do a manifold and ic piping amd it looked like a one arm apprentice did it.....and racefab is good company which was dissapointing.

For engine, personally id talk to the likes of gary capper as he had a daily 350wkw wrx and he said that his setup made it drive like stock/smooth and reliable. Or discuss options with who ever you have innmind to tune it.

  5. Sold my 300wkw wrx other week so been shopping around checkingout new cruisey cars. Found a beautiful well priced BP legacy so rest drove and sus\'d a deal to include free 2yr warranty. Paid for and picked it up this morning, how i looove a smooth quiet car and being auto makes it even lazier to drive. Is nz new and is a 2.5l turbo ome so pretty stoked, and being all black looks sick!

  6. After owning my 300wkw wrx and driving it on the street i personally reckon a stockish v7+ with a decent tune is far more fun, i missed that feel of low down snappy power. And 300kw on the street is pretty extreme unless its used for track days and drag battles regularly.
