Yeah i think since its going to end up chopped up for 4wd' i should be able to weld up the original and redrill the new stud pattern in.
Dont have any spacers atm (mate borrowed/stole them) but will post a pic up for ****s and giggles
haha excellent
as for the cutties i'm making.. today i went to a mates and got it red hot and bet the top coil up to fit into the top hat. and is now captive and have also welded the spring to the top had too. let me know if u would like some pics and ill post some
hmm thought that could be the case.. but dam those springs are under a far bit of pressure had it in the vice undoing top hat bolt next minute sh*ts flying everywhere...shot the ratchet out of my hant top bolt went flying and spring shot off too... i always wonderd why u needed those spring compressor things.. Now i know haha
ok well tonight i started chopping 1 spring the front ''right'' all seems to be going well will take to a mates tomorrow and get some heat on it to make it captive and make it fit nice and snug. only problem is i didn't really know how much to chop off.. and may have got a bit grinder happy... I chopped off nearly 2 coils..??
I have a ''champion'' heavy duty it has never failed me and is not to big.. and as for the battery relocate i would only see the point in that if u needed more space under the hood..
you may need a bigger battery if ur relocating as you could lose some juice thru the long leads? thats just a theory don't quote me on this
