  1. yea my first one split too, this one looks ok, I've turned the pressure up on the air compressor unit, once it comes up to psi I'll give it another go.
  2. could get it to pressurize enough with this ****ty air line. Could dodge head breather lines cuz a vac leak? cuz there seeping oil so they a bit loose, wat u rekon?
  3. Yea car runs ok but hesitates a bit right before boost comes on. Mean idea with the compressor. I'll give that a go now.
  4. Car idling at 16 In_Hg. I've inspected all the hoses/lines and there all mint as, Tried multiple mechanical boost gauges, I've pulled the entire intake including intercooler. (not intake manifold yet but tempting.) I'm totally dumbfounded its all mint, the BOV looks mint too but Im not totally sure about it cuz it is quite old. Only thing I not looked at is the head breather hoses, there old plastic ones can they cause vac leaks though? Thanks any advice/ideas are welcome. I have acess to every tool udner the planet and I wont put the car back together til about 3pm, thanks.
  5. **** who cares bro, I think they would look dope on your car man, pink or red. It's nice looking b4 you got man. Even some sort of gloss or metallic black would be nice. Looking forward to the after pics man hurry up
  6. on another note, Where would I source injector o-rings in canterbury? and when you say "injector seals" you are referring to the o-rings? and am i right in saying that theres 2 o-rings to each injector? one in the rail and another sitting high up on the injector?

    Go Karts.

Thanks for the lagal infos and as far as using them in public parks goes I guess not then. Beaches or deserted areas (certain parts of bottle lake forest come to mind) back country roads etc would be the only place yourd be able to use them unles you have a friend with a large prvt property. It's not worth buying a kart if I have to get it all the way out there to play with it I rekon. Thanks for again for the post.

    Go Karts.

What's the legal deal with these? Am I allowed to drive a "low powered" 49cc engine kart around with out holding a NZ road licence? I'm asking because I found these neat 49cc bicycles on trademe that dont require a licence to use on nz roads. I went nzta.govt.nz to double check this and they are in agreement with it. I couldn't how ever find any info what so ever if it would be legal to put a low power engine onto a kart and drive it in the bike lane haha. I dont think they would be legal to boost around on the footpaths and perhaps there too low to be on the road because people wont see you and stuff and if you cant use them on the road can you take down to your local park and boost around on the grass? I was just curious if anyone knows the hap's with them? I'm buying one of those bikes though for sure there dope. thanks for any infos.

I put the cleaner through all the the vacuums, My best guess is that blowby oil might have clogged them up somewhat. My best guess.

oem. It's really got me thinking though. It feels like a whole nother monster and Im trying to workout out why spraying carby/brake cleaner through it and/or the new 3mm non T split vacuum hose can make such a diffrence. I had to reset the ecu too but I doubt that did much. I just had to give it a good thrashing and just wow its dumbfounded me.

hmm ok strange. I removed the T and ran a new 3mm hose to manifold. Ran brake cleaner through the solonoid and holy moly boost comes on wayyyyy better! like fully wtf. 16psi holding strong Thanks!

The top blue hose runs to the manifold. I do have a T in with that I run my boost gauge off. The ebc was free, just gave it a go cuz I had a reason too. Will be running AM ebc once I get a g4 among other things and can afford a tune. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-TURBO-HDI-SUPPER-ELECTRONIC-BOOST-CONTROLLER-HDI-SBC-D-SE-2014-0705-/380899992616?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item58af68a428&vxp=mtr This one is cheap and looks cool, which are the only too things that matter when modding a car

Thanks bro ill hit you up if the new one yields the same hassles, least that way I know it's not hooked up wrong/somthing shaken loose. wasent wg pressure cuz it did the same thing even with the wastegate actuator hose pulled off! lol

While on the subject theres a loose plug in that I cant find a home for. Heres a pic. Its the circle white plug by the top right corner of the black square airflowmeter cover. My mate has it too and it's plugged into nothing aswell. http://tinypic.com/r/24bnnyq/8

Couldn't hurt to try the mbc out, out boredom for the most part, car only gets driven once or twice a week when my bro needs it anyways. Pic: Stock ebc all hooked up. Theres 2 electrical plug in's.[/url]

cheers for that reply Mark. The stock ebc still plugged up electronically but has no hoses attached to it. The ebc is hooked up by 1 vacuum hose then via the exit nipple it is hosed upto the wastegate actuator. Afm is new and the 02 sensor is near new aswell. I was curious as to if the stock ebc could be somehow messing it all up bu telling the ecu irreverent info as it has no hoses on it but I dont know the first thing about electrical side of things so was only a guess. My reasoning behind this is my o2 senor has 3 wires, 2 of those wires appear to be hooked up right below the ebc. Ill upload a photo but It could just be 2 wires of the same colors or something. It's not too big of a deal as he new ebc wont be far off and I should have a g4 by next month.

It's not a boost tap. Its a standalone mbc, has boost in line, which I connected to turbo vacuum nipple, a boost out line, which I ran to my waste-gate. set it to 13psi. My ebc was playing up before hand hence why I'm trying a manual one. The ebc would work then randomly throw a cel and boost cap at 5psi according to my boost gauge but it felt like an easy 10 lbs. No Vac leaks anywhere and would sit at 40 during idle. New ebc coming along until then was trying this thing out incase it works out better. also I had all excess vac hoses plugged.

When installing manual boost controller do I have the complete remove the electric one? theres a few electrical plugs on it and the moment I remove the vac hoses or the plugs I get cel and the car wont boost above 7psi even with the mbc hooked up, I dont think it's limp mode It feels like the afr is mucking up. Car is version 2 wrx, stock ecu. cel 45 - pressure actuator (ebc) cel 32 o2 sensor.
