I just picked up an auto BP5 and its pretty good. The single turbo engine can be a bit laggy off the line sometimes but once its up and going its good. The box seems responsive and quick.
The only gripe I have with auto legacies is they curb the power output on them

This is the wrong place to be discussing such things.
From the lady herself: I'm not the sort of person to be buying a car like those!

As for your loan advice, does she have a home?
If so id suggest tacking on a 10k home loan to it, as you get it for as little as 6% or whatever it currently is. Just ensure payments are high and you take it over 2-3 years. not much point paying off the car over 25 years!!
but dollar for dollar that way WILL be the cheapest!
Can you part off parts of the mortgage seperately? Paying it off on top of the mortgage over the full term is vvery expensive.
I do all my car finance on low interest mastercard at ASB. 12.5% interest and I can pay when and whatever I want. Very handy.

Nah, ive got the 6 speed. I'll keep an on things from now on though haha.

Had my 3.0R for 15k. Its in at Winger for its 100k service today. Haven't had any trouble with oil at all. It has been a great engine so far.

My new 05 3.0R spec B.

Try and get the first one for 15k all up.
Im not a fan of the two tone leather in all the rest. The blitzen doesnt look as dated as the rest.
Although if you can somehow get the 03 GT then that would be my pick.

Sorry, yep bjcnz summed it up.
The car handled well and went well but the clutch was definately not playing properly.

If what he did in the picture fixed it then you do have a faulty BOV, or it was plumbed up incorrectly.

Dont think i would touch Bora, the interiors arent that nice, no power, no handling, more expensive to fix...
This is in great condition, took it for a hoon, before i bought my new leggy. Needs a new clutch tho, which the dealer agreed to do.

I like the BP5 Wagon. Fast, good handling and practical.

Fitting a FMIC like this should not introduce any lag, it may slightly reduce response but the benefits should outweigh this. You have to realise that a turbo can presurise that amount of piping in an exceptionally quick period of time.
If you are experiencing increased lag with the FMIC then it is probably due to a boost leak somewhere.
