  1. Bearing in mind, the ace is completely stock under the bonnet, around 20kw atw with a cracked head..

    The only modifications are:

    Sticky Yokohama A563 tyres 175/50/13

    13x5.5 +40 Alizona racing alloys 5.2kg each

    15mm spacer adaptors

    Rear strut brace

8kg springs, unknown brand and non-captive

    Carpet and rear seats removed

    Fixed back drivers bucket, jamex

Front air dam. This one is for fuel efficiency more than anything else.

  2. So the leader board got posted up a few days ago. As you can see, im sitting in second overall. Barchy

Is in Fiji so he won\'t be scoring any more points, giving me a slim chance of first overall, which would be absolutely phenomenal! The final round is this Sunday at Hampton downs. Here\'s hoping it\'s a wet day, which would give me a significant advantage over the high powered cars.

haha yeah its cool, your ace gets a lot of spots aye? :D

Haha yeah it does I find out where they are, and then if I\'m in the area and someone hasn\'t already done it, its all mine :P

  4. I make my own braces using 30mm U section steel for the brackets, and 25mmx3mm alloy tube for the bar. No adjustment necessary, drilled to perfection :P costs me about $20 per brace plus my own labour.

Subaru Ace 1990. When one owns an oddball car, one must get custom.

  5. Appears to be just rubber. I plan to use my GoPro to see how it behaves at highway speed,

And ill add alloy braces as required. That reminds me, I made alloy strut braces last week if anyone\'s interested in a little write up about them.

  6. Well to start off, I trimmed the grille bars out and put mesh in, then I got a recycled piece

Of rubber stuff 3mm, and used self tappers to secure the big aero skirt. I dub the style:

Kiwi ingenuity meets RWB style meets Mr Plow. LOL!
