  1. if the back has any fold on the body of the car bro it will be a write off, check inside the spare wheel arch to see of any signs of folds on the body will be a good identication..if you de-reg the car and you take the car back wouldnt the insurance company hold back some money to give you the written off car back? You are looking at least 800bux to get it re-registered and if it requires any welding work than you need to get that checked along the way as well plus the normal repair costs on top, you would be looking at least 2k to get it back on the road thats if nothing else is majorly wrong with the body, as reregistration guys are alot stricter...

  2. whats the mileage on the car? best thing is to check the compression on the motor for piece of mind, has the car got a boost controller in it? and if it was tuned or not, check for any engine knock and any obvious dash lights, if he has a boost gauge check for spikes as well,

    I had done a single conversion on my B4 but did a complete engine swap, the car was awesome to drive with single turbo.

    What do you mean though "modified mine a lot" like to get it to originally fit the car or just to modify it to gain better performance out of it, i read in your thread you put a external wastegate in if thats what you mean by the modifying...

    Oh and is it quite loud as it is or bearable?

  5. Do you do servicing as well? the little beast is due for a service oil and filter change i guess and have some brake pads that need to be done as well, easy to do myself but just don't have the time to do it..and how much would i be looking at for that? cheers

  6. yeah i am running 6" in my subbie but had to run a spacer in the front to fit the speakers in, quite easy i think you can buy ready made ones as well if you cant be bothered trying to make one...

    I wouldbt buy one pre 2010, which is when they released the sedan shape as well as the hatch.

    I knew i had read that some where here that had issue with the V11, did they still make the hatch after 2010 though?
