Hi Guys, still on the hunt for a car to buy and have been trying to research about importing. From what I gather you can import cars made 2005 and after??. Have been looking for a black V8,V9 STI or something else for so darn long its getting demoralising . Has anyone here imported cars from Japan themselves or asked a dealer if they can??. Also is getting cars from the UK any different because I seen they have Evo 9 FQ editons and I never heard of any of them coming to NZ?.

I got a quote from NAC and it was excess $3700 with a 5 star alarm in it. So if you get a GPS or certain type of alarm does it reduce the excess?.

Hi Guys, So I am hopefully getting an STI in the next few months and are just a bit concerned with the rates this things are getting stolen. Had a M60s 5 star in my last WRX never had a break in. Is there a bulletproof alarm system that I should get?. Going to be using a steering wheel lock and I seen those gear lock things as well but dunno if they do much. Might be a silly question but can you buy wheel clamps to use on your parked car?.

Hi guys, Ive been searching for an Sti for a wee while now & have come across so many varying reviews as far as output is concerned. From what I can gather we get the Jdm ones which are 206kw? but lots of sites say the v8 & v9 are rated at 300bhp not 280?. On trademe the v11 Sti is rated at 221kw but v10 is 206kw even though they both have the same 2.5l engine?.

Hi guys, just had a few questions about the 2003 Sti spec C. What do you think a 92ks unmodified one is worth & what would the full 100k service cost as this has not been done yet?. Hi guys I am pretty new to this forum and was wondering your thoughts on Sti engine life stock/mildly modded. I have seen so many Sti on trademe for sale that have rebuilt engines and some of them have done only like 60-70ks before this happened. Is this just due to kids that trash them?, also those with Sti what kind of k\'s has your engine done without any hassles?.

Thanks for the info, I also wondered what kind of price seems reasonable for the v8/v9 sti. On Trademe they all seem to be 21-25 & the v10 is well out of my price range. Seen a few with less then 60k stock standard going for around 24ish does this seem way too high? or is this about standard now I heard they can no longer be imported.

Thanks for the info, looks like the owner put a head unit in it just need some better speakers . Will be a stretch but might just go for it.

Hi Guys I am new to this forum, have owned a 2002 Wrx for 2 years and am thinking of buying a 2001-2005 Sti but have seen a 2003 spec c for sale. Have looked at heaps of reviews about the spec c and it seems to be quite a bit quicker then a standard (stock) Sti and some magazines have said it has 320-335 bhp?. What do you guys think of the spec C vs a standard sti?? & would the c be ok as a daily driver or unbearable?. Will probably keep it stock mostly.
