Bit late now but BNT had a trade day special the other week (50% off). I got all my whiteline stuff off trademe through "Spares box". Definitely recommend doing the complete whiteline shifter bushing kit. Throw some rear subframe and diff inserts in too if you haven't already. Also if you do the roll centre ball joints order in some lower control arm bushes while the arm is off. Definitely need a wheel alignment afterwards.
I didnt know about the trade day. Yes I have so far replaced every bush in my car with the whiteline ones. Did the front essentials kit with the Anti lift kit and rear essentials kit which includes subframe, diff outrigger mounts and all trailing arms.
Only whiteline things I havent done, is pitch stop mount, roll centre kit, gearbox shifter bushing, and sway bar links.
How much was the shipping through spares box? Also did you have to pay tax and duty etc.

I got all my whiteline stuff from EVOWRX who doesnt appear to be here anymore.
Yup i got my last order through @D1style but he also doesnt appear to be active anymore.
Glad of any other hook ups.

Hello there,
Who is the retailer for whiteline over here? Or is there anyone with connections to whiteline product that can source parts for reasonable prices?
I am needing to order some sway bar bushes, and possibly interested in the roll centre correction kit, pitch stop mount, and sway bar links, and maybe the rear shifter bushing.
Can anyone help with this stuff?
Cheers.

Thanks that's helpful. That's most of it.
Anyone else know what subframe to chassis bolts specs are?
-
Hey there,
Does anyone know where to find all torque specs for 1999 wrx STI?
After specs for subframe bolts, diff mount bolts, etc. Basically all chassis bolts and sway bar mounts, and also engine torque specs too. E.g. exhaust and intake manifolds, clutch, flywheel etc.
Be glad if someone can point me in the right direction.
Cheers

Cheers. I might try that

I put an cut old belt around them and the crank, clamped/vice gripped the belt together around the crank so nothing could turn
So you clamped the ends of the belt together against the other side of the belt close to the crank pulley so it held tight?

Hmmmm. Are you doing them with the belt on the cambelt system?
If so, get someone in the car, and stick the car in top gear with their foot on the brake (or jam a pry bar on the flex plate for an auto), and then have a go.
If they've used red loctite, well, you're probably screwed. I'd use blue mid-strength if anything myself.
Engine is on an engine stand, and belt has been removed.
-
Hi there,
Does anyone have any tips on removing cam pulley bolts that have been loctited?
Cheers

Ring a few shops and make sure they have stock. Heaps don’t since it’s next day ordering being local.
Going to be in Melbourne area, so will scout out a few shops and check stock. Looks like everyone is charging $385aud. Quite a bit of money for doooorp noises. Not convinced as to how much gain I will see having this rather than stock intake when I tune the car.
-
I'm actually in AU next weekend so perhaps I do some shopping.
-
Out of interest, does anyone stock this sort of process west kit in NZ?

Just remember if you change too a bigger pipe diameter where the MAF sensor is installed it’s retune time.
Yes, the car will be getting a tune with link G4 regardless, to make the most of the bigger tmic, headers, and injectors and gone to vf22 over vf28.

I'm running a process west tmic so I would be doing it for piping reasons.
I figured it would probably only be necesary on a bigger turbo. They do look very nicely made though.

We talking intakes or intake manifolds?
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkTalking Cold air intake kits, not intake manifolds.

Hi there,
Has any one here had any experience with the process west air intake kits for GC8's?
Interested to know what difference it makes over the stock intake? Would it give better response from turbo?
And also if it is even worth considering since I am only running a VF22.
Cheers.

You don't need anything, they are self sealing.
I didnt think I would need it but was just checking
15 hours ago, Andy_Mac said:Probably do if they're Chinese knockoffs
They are just some -6AN to 5/16 barb fittings from NZKW.

Hey there,
Just wondering if any one has any tips for sealing AN fuel fittings. Is standard thread tape fine? or some liquid sealant better?
cheers
-
Leaning towards not doing rails. Will be running 850cc injectors and with big pump and only vf22 so only shooting for about 220-230kw.
-
Hey there,
Just after some direction regarding split rails. I am doing split rails, however i still have everything on the top of the engine in the stock location such as, power steering pump, alternator, aircon pump, manifold and TMIC.
There is not a heap of spare room with all this stuff on there so does anyone have any tips of the best places to runs the Fuel lines?
or experience doing split rails with all these things in stock location?
it is reasonably tight underneath the manifold when trying to place two tee fittings under there.
cheers.
