so, Dacerx, it was MPH default when in your car too? I was hoping there was a wiring difference in the car's loom to switch the dash default, like how the ECU is switchable between auto and manual.

Trying to find out if there is a 'default' switch for the digital dash's with the kph/mph switch. The one I have is a NZ dash but it defaults to MPH when powered up each time

Oh yeah, if you do pull the dash out, like DRFVDR said, the dash (instrument cluster) is held to the steering column with a nut on each side. you will have more room to remove the instrument cluster if you un-do the steering column bolts and drop it down a bit. The black plastic surround with the warning lights is attached to the dash and will all come with it. The wiring is unplugged at the large rectagular plugs behind the bonnet pull knob, blue, white, brown & black.
