    um just a quick question guys any help would be great!

    so ive deduced that my car keeps reverting back to limp because of the afm. i unplugged it while the car was on and it made no difference.

    Ive cleaned it numerous times and it works for a day or so before going back to limp.

    i was wondering is it worth getting another afm.

    i heard that you can replace it with a map sensor?

    any tips? T_T money is everything lol

    One coolant cap on the top tank and another on the radiator itself? Look around for any leaks or splits. Especially on the side of the rad. Otherwise, get a pressure test done.

    Suspension knocking could be that your sway bar bushes need a regrease or the struts themselves need a regrease.

    Chur turns out it was the top tank of the radiator leaking :(

    btw. im looking to get a new radiator cap. is there a certain pressure i should be looking at? or where i can get one from?

  4. Fellas, i am in dire need of information. so i noticed coolant all over my engine bay the other day cause i saw steam coming from the engine. I havent got to the bottom of it yet but i just had a question. Ive noticed 2 coolant caps? in my GDB. are they the same thing? and how do i determine where the fault lies? :D

    Also my suspension used to knock. now it creaks?ish

    Im at a loss :(

    Also i used to get knocks in my suspension but now the noise has transitioned into a creaking sound?

    The exhaust pressure and heat spin the turbo which compressors air which is cooled by the intercooler before being pushed into the intake for fuel mixing and explosion. After the exhaust spins the turbo it goes out the down pipe to the resonators/muffler sections.

    Extractors connect to and up pipe

    Uppipe connects to the bottom(feed) of the turbo

    Downpipe connect to the back of turbo (exit)

    mid section/ catback refers to the exhaust section after the downpipe

  7. Ok hey guys, this is going to sound like a stupid question but its been bothering me for a while.

    obviously in a N/A car the exhaust manifold goes directly to the exhaust piping

    but in a subi everything is a little side ways. So the turbo connects to the exhaust piping.

    but where do the extractors connect to? like where does it go and gases from?

    do i even make sense ? ???

    It\'s in limp mode. Running wastegate pressure. Something will have made the ECU sad so it kicks into this mode - get it checked for stored codes.

    Also a v8 STI should be running a bit more than a bar, does it have some sort of aftermarket boost control? Standard on GDBs is about 1.3 bar

    yeah it was running just over a bar, i was just using it as a reference :D

    but hey thanks alot! at least i know what to say when i take into a shop lol

    is this quite a common issue? my mates keep giving me a lecture about subis and the afm playing up :S

    no boost controller but i intended on buying one until this problem came up.. anything recommended? i do want to get more power out of my car, just need a helping hand along the way

  9. hey i actually have a similar problem i was hoping someone could help me out with.

    so my v8 sti used to boost at 1 bar. now all of a sudden as of about a week ago it wont go past 0.5bar, i dont know what to do :S anyone can help a brother out here? :D

    ps, im pretty new to all this car stuff
