  1. Excellent, thanks for the info. Have an appointment on monday at the compilers to see if the Auto is going to be hassle free to get re-registered (only been out of WOF and Reg for 2 months) so I'll either rip the engine Monday or sort another long block!
  2. Thanks for the reply Ross, here are the Vin plates of both as I'm unsure how to tell which revision is which unless it's A/B/C vs D ha.. Amazing build by the way, read the whole thread last night!
  3. Hey all, after reading for a good few days in forums worldwide I still can't really get a definitive answer on this problem. Over the weekend I lunched my EJ208 in my 1999 BH5 (yes, fast left hander --> oil starvation) and picked up a de-registered mirror image Auto GTB in perfect running order with a lot less kms for a bargin. So, I know that the autos have less power, and another half a unit of compression ratio. What I would like to know is will swapping this EJ206 into the manual body using the manual ECU work? Will the compression ratio difference cause any problems? (I hear it does with certain STI ECU swaps when going parallel turbo etc)and will the power be back to the 206KW manual level? If not then fingers crossed the auto can be re-registered to be sold ha. Thanks!
