  1. Yea if I can hit 400HP (will need a good turbo for that) it will be the same HP/weight ratio as a Bugatti V! That's what I am after... With traction control of course
  2. Not sure? Ill have to ask link? I am relatively ignorant when it comes to all things electrical. As it is a kit car I am assuming it wont need much of the standard loom?
  3. Cheers for the advise. It is for a kit car I am building (arrives soon) and it is a mid engine rear wheel drive configuration. I am needing the latest link G4+ so to have access to traction control via the re purposing of the ABS sensors. That kind of HP in a light weight RWD will be ripe for traction control.
  4. Cheers, the location of the radiator in the kit car I am building means that stones flicking up could be a bit of a problem so the alloy end tanks are a good investment. Also chasing 350+HP and will be doing dyno time so that makes it clear for me. thanks all
  5. Hi all, I am looking to keep my 2007 2.0 GT engine stock but to focus on bolt upgrades. I have a G4+ link to control it but at this stage everythinf else is stock. Whats the best path of upgrades to net some power gains? As I understand it... 1) Exhaust upgrade 2) Intake upgrade 3) Turbo upgrade/intercooler upgrade 4) Injector upgrade??? Im looking for some solid direction regarding Turbo's and anything I am missing. Looking for around 350HP-400 if possible.
  6. Has anyone had any experience with the simota brand?
  7. Are these really an upgrade in both capacity and cooling performance over standard? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/subaru/other/auction-966265946.htm cheers,
  8. Hi all, What is the main reasons to go for a two piece brake disc setup? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=968192106 It looks really nice and I am guessing there is some weight loss with the hat being alloy... but apart from that? I also don't like the look of the adapter bracket on this one... cant be good? Cheers
  9. It will see primarily road/cruise use. I intend to track it but it wont be regular. What year/car is the 207 out of?
  10. Donor engine for a kit car I am building http://www.factoryfive.com/galleries/project-818/818c-coupe/ I don't mind if the computer is different as I will use an after market computer. Its just the hardware I want to confirm is the same 205KW engine.
  11. Can anyone confirm that the engine hardware is exactly the same? turbo identical between them? cheers.
  12. Hi all, Can anyone tell me the difference in the 2007LGT motor between the auto and manual models? I know the older auto legacy's had less power in auto form. Is that the case here? smaller/different turbo? different fuel/timing maps? cheers.
  13. My 2005 GR Wagon has a pull type clutch. The thrust bearing started to make some squeals driving 30KM into town one day and ceased. It damaged the gearbox shaft quite bad with a nasty groove or two in it. Does anyone know of a good solution to fix it that doesn't involve welding and machining? Thanks.
  14. Can anyone tell me how to find out if my clutch is push or pull type?
  15. Can anyone tell me how I can find out if my clutch is push or pull type?
  16. Cheers mate ill confirm if its a pull type and order my new settup.
  17. So just to be clear... Any similar year Subaru flywheel/clutch combo will fit and work within the turbo 5 speed series?
  18. Ok so I definatly have a duel mass flywheel and its shot (along with my clutch) I need to fix it obviously but want a lightweight flywheel. Can anyone here tell me if a the std lightweight options and clutch kits will work inplace of my duel mass settup? Non of the distributors can tell me if they will work It's a 2005 GT legacy (turbo 5 speed) Japan import. Cheers.
  19. Cheers he is a good bloke and easy to deal with. Sorted
  20. Hey guys, Long time no post. My clutch died today and I'm after a good light flywheel/clutch combo to suit a 2005 JDM GT BP legacy. It ran just over 350HP on the NZEFI dyno. The std clutch was ok and did 170KMS before slipping. Just want to upgrade the flywheel while I'm at it. I am presuming my std one is duel mass.
  21. Can the Legacys be converted to a bigger disc size from the STI range? Also Can anyone link me to a place in the South Island or anywhere in NZ really that does a good 2 piece uograde for the legacy?
  22. Yea keen for something 'a little better' DBA. ILL CHECK IT OUT
