Thank you for all of the replies and handy info. PROBLEM SOLVED!! Upon getting my hands dirty and trying to replace all of the vacuum line the filter that came with the kit fell apart in my hands.. Replaced that and she works perfect now. Thank you once again to DacerX, ADIKT and Rosssub

Hi all. So i was gifted an HKS SSQV and went to put it on this afternoon. I took the old one off, Removed the small hose and Bunged up the big'n. The small hose was a bit short so i used the filter provided and some extra 4mm hose to make it fit. However it is silent and not working. When i move the throttle it doesn't appear to open as it should.. What could the problem be? It also has a boost gauge installed does that affect it at all? Could this be done if the C clip was installed upside down? Is it something on the BOV itself that will need to be adjusted? I know that this may be a basic question but i have minimal mechanical experience Thank you for your time

Sorry should have been more specific HKS BOV has been gifted to me for an early xmas pressie. It has the standard dump valve on it now. Thanks for your help
