  1. lastly - bit unrelated but on topic .. how accurate are the AF ratios on the dyno that gets read.. whats the average for 4wd subarus...12?
  2. will read thanks for the link./. still learning the world of physics fully lol.. but what u said does make sense.. more torqe and less power can achieve the same as more power torqe based on the example of the spanner..hmmm good illustration

nope the foresters only were based on the wrx wagon of the similar era apperently

2000 foz - does this onbe have the v7 coil on plug type setup or the v6 type setup. the v7 ones came in blue top top feed anyway all the yellows are 440 rated. the v5/6 ones can be decaped was mentioned somewhere but not sure (has anyone tried?) the blue tops can def be decapped to about 850cc or so if u have the yellows in the v6 type setup then maybe it could be a nz new thing maybe?? can anybody confirm if the nz new wrx also had yllows.. strange that they had yellows with the td04 tho...
  5. yea bro its a tough explain this one.. my main curiosity was the power and torque differences on same dyno by 2 cars as described earlier.. based on your summary, it could be possible then that u can have mor epower and less torque but then again i would not expect there to be such mountanoius differences..?
  6. hahah same bro - i tried to calculate but lost and gave up but on that note, with the torque showing more on say the 19 wheels, dosent it mean that power will also be more based on the calculation shown above sayinf more torque = more power (relational growth of course)...? hmmm maybe i can put them sexy 28 inc wheels (not that will fit but in theory) then get more hp at wheels than my engine lol. joking of course but tjhis very well could work based on discussion so far? or if smaler wheels give more torque then maybe use my toyota platz wheels somehow to get the power up haha
  7. hey dr good u noticed this thread.. ok so in saying the above, lets just assume for a moment i have a wrx that has 180kw engine. now lets say i put it on the dyno with standard 17 inch wheels as per the factory and do a dyno. next i put on my mates 19 inch wheels - same car, same dyno, same day, same everything. so what if i had 160kw at the wheels on the 17inch run. are you saying that with the 19inch run i will get 170kw (or 150kw)...? is the difference going to be that big?? what that means is that the car owner of any car can get a higher power by just changing the wheels on a dyno day..? thats what is implied above? or am i reading wrong?
  8. will post pics of graphs both were similar graphs
  9. my thoughts exactly higher HP meant higher torque around similar rpm pange i thought a bit up and down is ok but not like the example i quoted above.. almost 120 kw at wheels difference and yet making 120nm less... that i dont understand!!
  10. same dyno back to back testing with no change in dyno setup both were rolling road dyno figures.. nt_a_foz --> dam thats a huge torque igure compared to the ones i noted in my example!! anyway there is another example - nt_a_foz had his one at the wheels i presume? and compare that with my example in car 2 - also at the wheels figures i mean different dynos produce different numbers but this much difference is not possible anyway, the equation that was presented above somehow does not tell me how/why the huge difference in power torque leaving RPM aside as they both ran to about 6000-7000 rpm oin the end, how does car 2 have so much more power and not even matches car 1 torque
  11. from the past dyno day i have seen some resilts that i didnt understand. that was that how come some cars produced more power and some less for similar torque and how come some cars produced less power and more torqe than others. ok here is an example: car 1: ---> 200kw and 1100NM car 2: ---> 330kw and 980NM what gives? i mean how the discrepency (spelling)? some educated explanations be good lol as im trying to get my head around this stuff

is this a good buy for the price? http://www.fast4s.co.nz/detail.php?refno=11553 considering km etc as well...? condition is all right front seats from a wrx - bit worn but ok dealler will put in stereo otherwise good condition i sat in it andit felt like a rocking chair compared to my wrx..lol.. sounds harsh i thought but thats what it felt - maybe the standard suspension is set to really soft eh.. anyway, opinions please...

    ahh thanks for that...
  15. what wud be a decent offer? i mean considering hard times etc.. - just getting some options as dont know prices..
  16. tea 240kw at the wheels and the super strong box means hard launches and possible 11 with the light shell etc..well low 12 anyway
  17. if all the work and receipts are provided - 13k?
  18. true..they are often molested hard..lol i seen some "30 pound" bosting ones haha..i usually get asked how much boost i run (happens near drivethru etc) and usually the the GTIR guys i have met have way higher numbers with one black example of a gtir supposed to be doing 30 psi lol anyway, 10k has been said above.. would that be a fair value?
  19. hahah ok fair enough...lol...but still ---> worthless may have a $$ value??
  20. would anyone know what this car wil be worth? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Nissan/Pulsar/auction-235145832.htm
  21. had my other 2 cars tunes there as well and they are good...
  22. yes - good stuff. turbosmart are known for their quality products and i have used some before (not this model tho) and has been great altho its expensive... maybe some 2nd hand jap ones are cheaper - i have a HKS EVC4 as it was cheaper. but if its in your budget then fully recomended!!
