Sweet as. Probably Change the exhaust this weekend

Hey everyone I've just brought my first car, a 03 wrx. Completely stock as far as I know but I'm rapt about it. Now I have a few questions about the header lengths. I was reading that in the 03 wrx they are of equal length. If that is true, would I be able to put in unequal length headers and get that rumble ? The noise is the only thing that annoys me about it haha. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
