id go either, stock airbox with freed up piping OR a good cold air box around your pod.

Either will work well, but if you dont wanna make the cold air box for your pod id go standard air box every time.

People have stated that pods will decrease power, but imo its the opposite:provided they have a good cold air box with cold air ducting/ram flow effect. If they do not then yeah.....they run rough, richer and feel slower.

+1 pod with cold air box or leave standard box

shouldnt matter for gearboxes... i know increasing the engine size/ converting to turbo requires it..

best bet is to ring a local certifier.. actually its best to go and see the certifier before you begin modifications. that way youll know what his rules are and what the law allows and he be able to give you better idea on what to do. this mite end up saving you thousands of dollars as well. :)

Converting turbo doesnt require one unless it upgrades the power in the car by a certain percentage.... i think? i may be wrong?

IM pretty sure you need a cert to turbo a car no mater what?

How can you prove that you car is under the 15% power bracket (i think its 15%)?

then again when you forge & bigger turbo and do get more than 15% power then there no way the cops can prove against it

i could chuck a pic up of my engine bay if someone knows what it looks like/where it is

no one has been able to give me a yes/no answer on this yet but mite aswell ask again:

ive got a link g1 does this control idle or is it the IACV hooked up to the link?

im pretty sure the car didnt idle wierd when i first got it so i think the tune is alright?

just to be clear, if someone was to swap the 294mm rotors and 4 pots on the front instead of the smaller/2 pots, this would have to be certed for a wof?

i think it would have to be certed, but really what WOF inspector would notice that? maybe if you have slotted rotors - a on to it inspector would pull you up.

  6. Yea i thought a type r would just be a STI one aswell

    440cc injectors

unsure about the fit tho, what version is it off? anit there a differance between v3&v4 against v5&v6?

doesn't v5&v6 have different angled heads or something so manifold is different?

When i was looking at single turbo convert i think i seen a complete one for $200? mite have been $300

duno check trademe & wreckers and see what there going for there

Is that for slotted rotors? i could be keen for some of these adpeters? what do you need them for if you already have 2 pot rears?

    /quote]

You dont need them if you already have two pots. If you have two pots you have the r180 rear diff. The adaptor is for the upgrade from single slider rear brakes to two pots.

Oh sorry i meant why do YOU need to make them up as above you said u already have 2 pots? but i guess you have made your own for car and were thinking about making some to sell, how much would you sell these adapters for?

mite just do the front and leave the rears tiny for now, its only a street car after all

Ive got one of these, quite cool uses usbs & aux, ipod control aswell

Charges ipod at same time as use it, i never got a ipod working on it tho, only ever tryed with an OLD school ipod shuffle, came up with error e1 which is song format wrong/ipod not compatable or something? eh i dont know i got a 4gb usb stick with more than enough songs

its got two sets of rca cables for amps & ive never had it skip on me yet

    seems quite good for $200

i must say its the design is pretty basic tho, not many bottons to play with lol
