Repco stock most the Subby rotors for cheap, funnily enough when i did the big brake upgrade on my wrx it cost almost twice as much to put 290mm disc on the back as it did the front.

I now have 290mm 4 pots on front and 290mm two pots on the back (which are actually a >01 year wrx disc). Stops rather well i must say.... and for a numbers comparision i knocked 3 secs off my lap time at teretonga form this mod alone.

How cheap is cheap? $100 $200?

Also how much effort goes into swapping rear brakes to bigger ones, there so small lol

I have a 94 gt wagon and have wrx ra struts all round with super low kings in (all captive), it has got 17" rims, the front sits really nice (about 10mm above the tyre) but the rears are way to low, I have put 20mm rubber packers in to lift it a bit but the tyre is still slightly under the gaurd, was thinking about putting lows in back and seeing how that rides?

Did you have to swap the top hats in the rear?

Yea mite have to go down either some sti struts and springs or coil overs

LOl i want it like SLAMMED as lol like front right on the gaurds and back tucked lol

No such thing as STI 4 pot calipers they're just painted red.

They'll bolt on but you'll need 294mm rotors.

    /quote]

huh? I thought the Subaru 4 pots came off a STi ver 3-4 (plus others) A standard version 3 or 4 had 2 pots, yes?.. would that not make the 4 pots an STI brake caliper maybe not STi made.. (technical issue maybe) but an Sti brake caliper? no.... .....

294mm rotors to fit them 47P is the offset on mine (machined the rotors if you don't buy new ones) if you need some, I have some plan 294mm rotor if needed (they will need machining) $40 for the pair.. good mod to do.. get some motul brake fluid 5.1 and good pads.. plus 1 and a half.

Mad how much would machining be to get done? Also where could i get them slotted like yours and how much would that be?

  4. So i went to change the pump i thought before i swap them mite aswell pull the pipe off and see if fluid is coming through, which it was.

SO the pump is working, when i pulling the pump off i kinda wasnt expecting any coming out so it squirted all through my engine bay lol...

i then filled it back up with new fluid (ATP 3), turn it lock to lock when up on the jack,

    got abit better.

but one COLD morning the power steering was working great, after afew turns it stopped working and went back to being shocking

Is there different fluid needed for subaru's?

  5. Ive got a 95 rs legacy with blisten shocks and tein lowering springs on 18' wheel and it high rising as.

Im looking to lower more, ive looked/looking at adjustables

What have you guys used to lower your legacys?

ive seen someone on here who has used sti shocks and spring? would this just meran spawing rear top hats?

Mono are the best for a sub, but no problem bridging 2 channels into one voice coil. If you have a Dual Voice coil sub you could bridge a 4 channel. Just make sure that either the amp or head unit has a good low pass filter if you go with a full range amp (2/3/4 channel), you dont want your sub playing high frequencies.

Have a chat to my friend Dave at [email protected], tell him Jonno sent you and he'll be able to find something good quality that will suit your set up for a good price.

    Oh will do cheers :)

  8. Whats best to power a sub? mono-channel amp or what?

    ive got this head unit:

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-stereos/CD-players/Panasonic/auction-203887925.htm

which has 4 rc outs i believe?

so i have 2 going to a amp for the sub

    the amp is this:

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=204534485

which is a 4 channel amp and 2 channels are unused

Im looking to install 4 more panasonic speakers and hook up to the amp i already have & get a new amp for the sub

the sub is a 12" 1000w or 1200w panasonic so want a amp for this

    any suggestions welcome!!
