My mate has some sti 4 pots sitting on his floor that i was thinking of grabbing off him, will these bolt straight onto my rotors? he said they wouldn't and that id need bigger rotors?
my car is a 95 rs legacy (BD5)

rwd is obviously not for everyone, my advice would be to listen to the people that have done it.
next step for me is to fit a r200 rear diff, but thats another topic altogether.

Anyone know how to change a powersteering pump?
im pretty sure its stuffed as powersteering is not working and fluid is full and looks good
Do i just need to change the pump and reconnect lines or do i need to bleed it etc, if so how do i bleed it

ECU pumps fuel through the motor without igniting it, and it explodes when it hits the headers
due to them being hot. The explosions keep the turbo spinning even though there is no power
generated in the motor... downsides:- none if you can afford to replace your turbo often, and
don't require power assisted brakes.

yea my car has a switch for it but its not hooked up right and was thinking of getting going but nah i think ill leave it as it is lol
i love the backfiring sound between gear changes lol

hi all, if i was to fit a E/W to my rex which fitting do i connect the vacuum hose up to the one on top or the one closest to flange?
mine has both connected not sure if its right but it works
it must have a spilter before the wasty or something because its only the one hose heading down there...
ive never really checked it before

Exhaust can be touching ground and still get a WOF - it aint structural
if certed for a certain height I think they allow 30mm +/- leeway if you get checked/wof'ed etc
I thought exhuast & all other non-structural parts had to be 50mm or 70mm (i cant quite remmeber)
but im sure there was a certain height it had to meet?

100ml is the Legal limit, any lower and they wo'nt W.O.F your car unless they raise it up, which is what happened to me, spent $1600.. getting my car sussed 4 a W.O.F, not kool, i'd imagine it'd be the same for the cert, make sure it's sitting at 100ml or higher..
ive been told ur aloud below the 100mm? and if its certed for it then thats fine?
ive a toyota soarer that was so low it sprked its exhuast everywhere, seen it get pulled over heaps aswell, never got a fine coz it was certed tho? mite depend where you take your car for cert

im hoping it will hold boost as im having little trouble with boost spike, been told it could be wastegate or boost solenoid!, but unsure
Hmm if its just for steady boost control then u mite want to lean toward a EBC
i had a wasty + a link controlled boost tap, the spring would always hold steady but with the boost tap in there it did all sorts of things, ie it would hold steady 7.25 psi when boost tap disconnected, (link was set to run 19 then drop of to 16psi) but it would spike up & then drop then go back up etc

Ive also got some adjustys setup in my legacy and was wondering if when you go get a cert do you have to have them set at a certain hight or does the certifier set them to where he thinks is "safe" etc? just dont wanna go for a cert and fail cos I had them to low etc and have to do it all over again? anyone know?
i think just take it in at the height u want chanege it if u fail and u get rechecks for free?
duno the height, im sure ur aloud below 100mm though

I also need a cert for adjustables in my legacy, maybe people could post up where they are from and who does certs in their area? im sure that would be really helpfull for us looking into getting it done.
I havnt had a cert done but from mates i know theres one in hams unsure of the price but he was really tough and wasted a shit load of my mates time and money by not telling him all the faults at once, he had to go back and forth 3 times which is 150kms each way.
also there one in tokaroa which is quite good ive heard decent price too
and one in rotoarua which is cheap ($350) but unsure how tough he is.
there use to be a list of cert prices be4 the site crashed

I dont see why they wouoldn't
if you set the adjustys high the will fit, mite not if you have them low, mite need to roll your gaurds etc
hassles with lvv is $$$
Advantages: stiffer & better handling, adjusting there height & rebound settings etc
Disavantages: once certed at a high you can only move them +/- 5% of that high, stiffer - bumpyer ride

Its not needed unless you have upgraded turbo to one without an internal gate, it costs $$ ,hassle and i doubt it gives any performance gains.
There are modded subarus with well over 400hp on an internal gate.
This is true to a point, your internal wastegate is good enough but if your after the sound of an external or want to up boost without a tap or EBC then you can change spring pressure etc
BUT people say only buy genine wastegates which are about $500 for brand new tial 38mm, which is a lot if your only using it for boost control, and its not easy to change boost like a tap or EBC
What are you planning to do with it? have it plumbed in or Venting? Up boost?

Pods arent banned in Oz - they must however be enclosed (to limit induction noise IIRC)
Mines already up as tight as it can go? i wouldnt say its loud,
i dont think the cops will go pull you over for a b.o.v unless its super ssq or simalar, unless they are just out to get boyracers or wanna do you for whatever they can etc

Yea there not going to be able to police it, if so there going to have to do what aus did and ban pods aswell, i dont see it working tbh
most of the noise in mine come outs tha pod unless your revving high
but with mine (turbo smart vee port) it lets off at very low boost i.e if let off the gas at 1psi mine would still make a noise

Once again get it setup properly and you should easily do just as good a skid as any skyline/supra/rx7 etc, got a nice vid on my phone of my wagon alongside my mates s5 rx7 both smoking the bags, can you post vids on here? how?
Yea comon a subi baking it up and showing up a skyline or something would be great!!
