Why are they so ruthless bro? How much are tunes these days?
/quote]
apprently all they do is tune it to dump more fuel in and raise the boost aye. just heard quite a few nasty stories on nzh when guys on there got their cars chipped. they screwed with the timing and it was never TUNED like when you get a tune on a dyno
What performance chips (if any) are good then?

I have the silencer that came with my exhaust. I\'ve never used it though. What diameter is your exhaust ?
Internal exhaust diameter is 85mm have bought one of these http://scarles.co.nz/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=&products_id=51
Cheers though.

Do they have to be welded in for a WOF? Have heard they do?
Thinking one like this http://scarles.co.nz/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=&products_id=51

As above, the RS failed a VTNZ WOF due to noise (even though it passed at another VTNZ 6months ago)???
The reading was 94db and the law is 92db.
So, any thoughts on the best/cheapest way to lower it so it will pass??? Silencers?
cheers.

I know a guy from Palmy whose white BH5 TS-R Wagon recently got stolen!
Is that one a GT?
Where did you find the pics Joker?

Hi Everyone,
Looking at buying a Legacy B4 RSK Manual, just had it inspected today at VTNZ and they have noted that the Gear selection is sloppy. Would that be an easy fix? like taking out the gear lever and replacing the bushes?
Thanks!
A mate of mine has the same problem!
Any idea on the cost of parts and where the best place to get them is?

I'd say yes aswell.
I've got a TY752 rear housing on a TY755 box so they're pretty swappable.
Also, whats with the yelling? Don't need caps to get your question across.
Was on caps when i started writing the title so decided I should leave it on for shits and giggles haha
Cheers bro (quiet voice)

Getting really sick of having a buggered climate controller so bought a new one and got the old one removed when my stereo was installed.
Problems:
1. I now have an ugly gaping hole where my climate controller used to be.
2. I dont know how to take the plastic surround off to re-install the climate controller. Have heard it can be hard and I am prone to breaking things!!
Help will be appreciated
See Pics:
Not my car but close enough. The plastic piece that contains the cup holder next to the climate controller is the piece im stuck on.

Good mate of mine has just bought one today!
2006 WRX STi in Black

As Above, have a mate interested in a 2006 NZ New WRX STi.
Just wondering what is different about the NZ New as opposed to the JDM?
Cheers

Main difference is in the engine.
The export 2.5L is OK but needs a fair whack of the throttle to get going, then quickly runs of out breath.
The JDM 2.0L has more torque and spins more freely.
Rest of the car basically the same.
Would it be fair to assume that being a 2.5L, it would be easier to get more power out of it than the 2.0L?
When you say runs out of breath is this due to a smaller turbo?

Ignition and drivers door lock are buggered.
Dent in drivers door and stereo and sounds have been taken.
So not as bad as it could be.
Mike where do you think I should go for the ignition?

CAR HAS BEEN FOUND IN MASTERTON!

Pics:
The car had these wheels on it, not the ones above:

As above.
Totally gutted, wagon got stolen on Sunday night from Taupo.
Rego is EHN468.
Keep an eye out for it.
Has been lowered on Bilsteins so has the Bilstein badge below the TS-R badge, which is relatively rare.
Also has the bronze twin spoke GTB rims.
Cheers
